Thank you for showing which way the clip on the back went. I think I watched every video out before I came to yours! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Thanks for your work on this video, especially the part where you opened up the back and allowed the viewer to see into the belt area. I was working off another video but got stuck on that part. Have a good day.

I may have a short cut for those that may have the digital version. My drum looks a little different. When mine squeaked and read why from this video I looked on the back of my dryer and there is a little bearing sticking out in the center. I picked the grease off with a butter knife and gently wiggled the bearing with the knife to loosen it. I used some of my gun oil elixer that has a dropper and squirted it in and around the bearing as well as crawled inside and dropped a few drops through a few holes nearest the center over the bearing plate. This worked great without taking anything apart.May be a shortcut Frigedaire figured out IDK but I sure did and it worked fantastic. Hope this helps someone and saves money and hassle. JP

Everything went great, right up to "remove these three screws" at around 3:09. That started a several week adventure for me. Still on it, hoping to get those screws off someday.
@plove913610 ай бұрын
Use a pair of vise grips if the screws are stripped. If that doesn't work, use a steal drill bit a hair smaller than the thread pattern & drill from the Phillips side as a last resort. Be sure to catch all shavings & use a magnet if necessary.

Awesome video! Do you have the part number of the bearing by any chance?

Great video..do you know how to disconnect the LOUD Buzzer on this model dryer..and how to do it ?
@FarmDad3 жыл бұрын
Thanks, I'm afraid I haven't done that. But I'm thinking it can't be too hard to find if you take the dryer apart.

Hi. I followed all the steps exactly as outlined. The set up worked. However, when i switched on, there is a new squeaky noise. Now, its very loud and at the same side, the top frame towards the end gets very hot when running, in a short span. Any reason why this is happening? Thank you

What is the model number of this dryer?
@lobdsk7 ай бұрын
Great video thanks for that.The only thing I would change is you don’t have to remove the hinge screw (the first screws you took out) also I would try cleaning it first including blowing off the motor with compressed air and then just greasing it unless it’s severely damaged.

I’m looking for the part you unscrewed from the top, ‘front drum support’ any idea where to find it?
@FarmDad2 жыл бұрын
Maybe partselect.com or similar appliance part retailer.

I did this repair and a few days later it is screeching louder. Any suggestions?
@FarmDad3 жыл бұрын
All I can suggest is taking it back apart and looking for something that is rubbing or doesn't have grease.

NEVER use flex tubing for your drier vent. Instead use solid wall duct to prevent link buildup
@FarmDad3 жыл бұрын
Solid advice. This is in a barn we are living in while building our house. We used flex because we are ripping it out as soon as we move in the house, which has rigid pipe.

If they Spent $15 on brass bearings then you could spend time with the kids rather than switching out plastic bearings, you remember when the made in USA symbol actually stood for quality and reliability, guess we just become a throwaway society, Carhartt is no longer made in America, Red Wing Irish setters are no longer made in Wisconsin Levi Strauss made in India I'm not bitching about our highly sophisticated very accurate weapons for the systematic slaughter of humans, from the things that really make us American, AK-47 Kalashnikov is a grand piece machinery, Kalashnikov it's claim to fame, is producing a weapon engineered the systematic slaughter humans and tiny children under the age of six every single day. I lost my boy in Fallujah, old men sending young men to die in war for profit. I can't do this life anymore
