People who watch tachibana first time will feel funny for the first 5 seconds. 30 seconds later they are dancing. People stop laughing. 1 minute later they are dancing. 30 minutes later they are still dancing. 1 hour later they are still dancing. Only respect and nothing else.

In regard to the girls to guys ratio. An extra curricular program is a requirement in Japan. The girls often will go out for the wind band, while the guys go out for sports like Baseball and Soccer. Not true for all schools, but at Kyoto Tachibana it holds pretty close. Although the school went CO-ED in 2000, KTSHS was once an all girls school, the girls to guys ratio still tilts slightly higher to the girls (58%). Tachibana Tension!!!! 💛🧡🖤🧡💛

We love tachibana because they are not perfect. They work so hard but they are still eliminated so many times in the marching contest. But they refuse to change. We see our selves from them.

They have some annual events where they parade each year, but this was a special parade to commemorate the trip they were about to make to the USA (which was the last video of theirs you watched). A medley of Disney movie songs was a feature of their parades (and singing one of them) for some time. The last couple of years they have been adding other songs to the medley. The people you said were getting in the way of the videographer are there purposefully to prevent the audience from crowding the musicians. Kyoto Tachibana was a girls only school 97 years until boys were allowed in 2000. The boys mostly join the sports team clubs instead of the band. That place is not what you would normally think of as a shopping mall. A roof was placed over the street to shelter from bad weather but it is not fully enclosed. It is a place that had some shops so more and more shops opened on the same street to take advantage of the foot traffic and be convenient for shoppers. Some shop owners live above the stores.

How did you miss the flute player at the end on the right? Her name is Hitomi and she marched with a prosthetic leg. She was a big inspiration in the band. Also the girl playing the bells is Chippi. Chippi, along with others from this time period and former students of Kyoto Tachibana are members of a great big band jazz group called the O-vils which you should also check out.

@@squeakychairchannel I believe you are referring to the Disneyland parade in Anaheim California. There are many videos of their trip here in America both 2011 and 2018 trips. The video I'm referring to is a show they did on a football field. It's about a thirty minute video and in the beginning the announcers briefly talks about and introduces Hitomi on the field. Her story is very inspirational.

She was invited to attend again in 2020 and did so but on the opposite of the streets. Just like the song " Clouds " Ms. Hitomi has seen Pasadena, California from both sides now. She is " Wonder Woman ". Also, a member of the Kyoto Fire Brigade Fire Angels Color Guard.
