I saw Squeeze on Wednesday night playing a warmup gig at Deal for their latest Uk tour and they played hit after hit after hit for 1 hour 40 minutes and were really fantastic . Thanks Glenn and Chris for signing my Squeeze Cd sleeves 👍 You really are a class act and I most certainly will see you again and hopefully playing in Kent again

Thank you Glenn Tilbrook and Chris Difford for a lifetime of beautifully crafted songs that I've carried with me, always. Please try and come down to Aotearoa New Zealand, you'll be welcomed with open arms.

I love the way they always looked really cheekily into the camera as they sang. I play their tracks over & over on a regular basis - such great lyrics.

Caught the first Liverpool Philharmonic show on 7th November 2022 and they remain a superb live band. It's not always easy to perform songs of such delicate crafting and structure live but they out-Squeeze themselves every time we get to see them. I first saw the original line-up at a Charity Benefit Show in March 1978 at the old Oxford Polytechnic and Chris and Glenn still have that strong social conscience that is sadly still badly needed. I admire them for enduring the endless Meet & Greets which nobody (punters and band) particularly enjoyed but which hopefully have raised a tidy sum for The Trussell Trust, the worthiest of worthy causes. More power to your collective elbows, lads. And Thank You.

At least one of the interviewers would have Squeeze songs as part of their life growing up. The other, possibly just introduced to them in more than one way. These two are royalty in our books.

Ya the second interviewer, she had no idea and was just faking it. 'Let's talk about the NEW stuff.... Up the Junction....' . I spat my coffee out over that one.

So great that they mentioned Up The Junction-i will never forget talking with Chris after a show in Troy, NY about the lyrics being a summarized novella or a treatment for a movie, the latter of which was, according to Chris, discussed but never realized. Come back for another U.S. tour, lads!

These two were compared to Lennon-McCartney as songwriters back in the record-press in 1979-80. Everything exciting about the new wave was summed up in Squeeze, the British sound was so wild to hear when all we heard in the US was the usual AOR. Let's not forget, the radio stations DID NOT play these guys, did not play the new wave till around Sept.1980. Today we think they were always popular, but NOT true. The avantguard became guard, but it took time.

Come on, she's a very talented journalist and presenter. She will have known all about the band. The job of the interviewers is to ask questions that get across to the viewers things about the band that they might now know; and bear in mind, A LOT of viewers will never have heard of Squeeze - sadly You chat to any youngster these days and they won't have heard of half the bands you grew up with and vice versa. Tell you what, if you asked me to name any band or musician in the top 20 these days, I wouldn't have a clue.

HBO's last word / response at the end seems to paint GRRM as a "book guy" who doesn't understand adaptation. He was writing tv scripts and full shows in the 1980s, before (I assume) most of the marketing dept at HBO was even born. He knows tv, as format, mechanics, and method of storytelling.

Saw them last week in Birmingham at The Symphony Hall and musically they were excellent, playing all the hits, a really great band. However they would have been even better if they had stopped and paused now and again to tell a few stories about the songs, they didn't really interact with the crowd.
