Just like his compatriot, another PC, Peter Cox, of Go West fame. He also has that Blue-eyed Soul vice which Carrack was praised for. I would admit though that Carrack can hit those high notes even better than Coxy. I like both of them alike though

He just put out a "50th Anniversary" version of his greatest hits today, with these songs redone this year. Living Years is a lot more choir focused. A lot of the others were from the original greatest hits, like tempted I think is the 2012 version of it. But all in all I think there are 8 or 9 2024 versions of songs on there and it sounds pretty damn good. Highly recommend checking it out. Was a good 1hr+ of my morning today. :)

Glen Tillbrook did this song at a solo gig in my hometown and he told the audience to sing the entire song while he played guitar. I was in the audience and we sang the entire song word for word. He loved it as much as we did.

Me too. Played next door to where I lived in Tempe. Played a hide and seek game with him backstage. It was a weird but pretty funny story. I had to lead black coffee in bed as he kind of lost track. Ya had to be there. Was hilarious but awesome. Glad I got to see a great show.

Originally Tillbrook was to sing the lead, but producer Elvis Costello had Carrack try it and decided he liked it for the recording. I agree as it gives the song such tonal variety.

Love this song , taught my daughter to sing all the words in the car when she was a baby , she got up and sang it at a 5 year olds talent show at school , and the teachers joined in ......... happy memories, great tune
