It felt like Charlie was proud of himself for figuring out the basic strategy of this game. Meanwhile, someone like Fedor would have already been looking at decision rules for anormal, but crucial spots. This is what happens if you're of slightly above average intelligence, but don't spend time with the real smart kids. You get full of yourself believing you're the smartest around.

Indian Poker is extremely simple and resembles a lot of "toy games" that pros often studied in order to learn certain fundamentals of poker (like polarized Vs condensed ranges), so any player that's studied them/worked on those fundamentals should have a pretty easy time adapting to it. Figuring out the precise thresholds given the exact blinds might be a bit tricky, but just understanding the basics was probably enough for Jungle.

An absolutely brutal series of hands. Ace v Ace with opponent on the button, Ace vs Deuce when you're short and have to all-in, Deuce when you're still short and have to all-in.
@liammilne224211 ай бұрын
I agree he had a horrible run of luck, but when you see opponent with a deuce shouldn't you only raise minimally to induce a re-raise/shove? You're only ever splitting pot at worst since you can't lose to a deuce, shoving vs a deuce is never optimal as if you show any kind of strength they will fold. That for me is the only mistake he honestly made, maybe I just don't understand the format properly but I think a slight raise hoping for them to reraise is optimal when opponent has a deuce as you're always safe calling their reraise knowing they had deuce.@@FharaohMal
@TheJackyJuan11 ай бұрын
@@liammilne2242 The rationale of shoving here is to make the opponent think he is holding an ace and call him. It just happens that Andy is holding an ace here so the opponent is never calling. Remember the opponent does not know his own card is deuce.

Ep.11 Takeaways - Like the Indian poker concept for this comp but not irl. Lil too gimmicky. Still fun though - It was like watching No Limit Deuce with a peak - I kinda like the blurring out of some of the cards. - David just punting is & always will be hilarious - Was pumped for Kyna to get a W - Jungle was just owning that bamma Charlie 😂 - Poor Andy just in a blender in this one. Brutal run of cards that match.

Is there anyone more full of themselves than Charlie?

This was definitely one of the better episodes! I'd like to see two things next season. 1) More poker variants. 2) Put all the teams in one big room instead of separate rooms. It creates more interaction and it's like routing for your team in a bar or something. If people need to talk strategy they can wisper in the corner!

What an amazing series. Season 2 needed! The Indian poker format needs to be changed or revised though. Andy basically had not shot

For next season they should have a redemption round for all the eliminated players. Winner gets to be the wild card add on at the final table. Would be a great twist and the remaining players would be stunned to see someone walk back in.

Yeah that’s a very good idea

Figured it’s such a bummer to fly out all the way to Korea just for one or two days and fly right back. Better to keep everyone there for the week and enjoy themselves and still give them an opportunity to win back into the game.

Jungle was right after all, having been to India before was clearly an advantage in this game

I really hope we'll get to see Nikita playing in popular poker streams. I found the way she played quite surprising and she has an interesting personality. I loved how she was trying to connect and relax with her team-mates, while the opponent team was descending into chaos and fighting (Charlie vs Williams). ☺

Why? This game is so simple and very boring after 1 hour.
