but still, Squidward only waved for the bean twice, and he didn’t care about the other episodes, remember when the sponge wanted to live with the jellyfish. only Squidward was celebrating and didn't want the sponges to help. even when the sponge wasn't a pineapple and Patrick was a loser. Squidward was supposed to leave him at home for 1 day, but he left him outside, which really doesn't make him any better, but ok plankton also had moments and there were those that he worried about the crab

I just appreciate how dynamic of a character Squidward is. I've been able to relate to him since I was about 8 or 9. He is misunderstood often times. I think the pent up anger and frustration from Spongebob, Patrick, Mr. Krabs, and even just the other Bikini Bottomites causes him to act out in anger and do some horrible things most of the time, but he still has good deep down.

In terms of evil, I'd also include when Squidward was made Employee of the Month. The problem with this is the fact that Squidward took away the joys of what made Spongebob happy. Getting Employee of the Month was the cherry on the top.

Squidward is one of those characters that you can relate to. He’s one of my favorites, and despite his flaws, he isn’t evil, he’s just a jerk sometimes. But he’s done enough good deeds where he’s shown he has a heart in a sense. Does he deserve better? Hard to say Is he perfect? No Is he good? Sure Is he bad? Kind of Overall, there are times where Squidward does get screwed over, but sometimes it’s where he doesn’t deserve it, or he does. Still, he’s one of my favorite characters.

The 2 worst thing I can think of that Squidward has done is read SpongeBob’s diary in the Krusty Krab to the customers not only breaking SpongeBob’s heart and trust he had for Squidward, Squidward humiliates him in front of the customers to the point that the whole town hates Squidward for what he did to SpongeBoB Squidward doesn’t care and in the end when SpongeBob does forgive Squidward he does it again. The second one was the Whobob Whatpants special. I didn’t like this special because it made SpongeBob’s friends incredibly horrible to the Sponge to the point he runs away and when they do find out he’s run away Squidward laughs and says if he knew SpongeBoB was going to run away he would of slammed the door harder in SpongeBob’s face.

Squidward berated and ridiculed Gary by calling him a mongrel, took credit for SB’s art, tried to snitch on SB for stealing that belt when he wasn’t causing harm at all (it only got worse because the confrontation made SB anxious and wasn’t thinking rationally afterwards), etc. Seriously, classic Squidward is horrible. So much for caring about the yellow sponge!

Yes, Squidward did regrett/felt guilt and went out of his way to please SB on what would’ve been his last living moment. But what I absolutely hate is how, instead of saying “Oh, thank Neptune you’re still alive Spongebob! My good deeds weren’t all in vain”, he did the contrary. The moment he started asking SB why he isn’t dead and started going ballistic because he started “doing all these ridiculous things” only proves how hateful he was the entire time. And it’s as if he put on a facade the whole time, thus making Squidward look even more vindictive. I mean, if they wanted to pull off a similar stint like in SB 129, I would’ve been ok. But no, Squidward made himself look bad in that scene and that’s what really pisses me off about his negative portrayal in the classic era.

Actually, there are times when both of those characters actually were good friends to him, especially in the early season besides, I think the shows getting better it’s mostly due to the animators fault for making them so hateful.

Honestly I think Squidward’s best deed was in the first Christmas special when he dressed up as Santa and gave away literally everything he owns just to cheer up SpongeBob. Even the real Santa said himself that was a very good thing for Squidward to do.

Yes, thank you, I think Squidward was able to defend SpongeBob against Mr. Krabs in Born Again Krabs because he was able to get more sleep and not be as grumpy. I feel there were other bad deeds that could’ve been mentioned. One example being the time when he scared SpongeBob and Patrick when pretending to be The Fisherman, another one being warning SpongeBob about Mr. Krabs going overboard after he decides to starve the two over one particular dollar. What if you guys did a video on Shadow the Hedgehog’s deeds?

Worst thing Squidward ever did was reading SpongeBob’s diary allowed to everyone in the Krusty Krab. Turns out though that was SpongeBob’s work diary, which the fry cook then made into a book for everyone to read, but then Squidward starts reading SpongeBob’s personal diary causing the poor boy to run away crying. People start throwing tomatoes at Squidward and his response is what really makes the moment so awful. He’s just laughing and says “I don’t care. This is so worth it!” That’s just low even for someone like Squidward.

Don't forget the episode band geeks where squidward tried his best to be successful at the bubble bowl, his students were fighting because of the mistake of their music, squidward tries to stop the fight but it doesn't help at all until he started to cry. Thankfuly he and his band became very successful at the end of the episode which led the jerk-squilliam to a heart attack which he deserves. And there is also one episode where squidward was disguised as a giant krabby patty and saved spongebob from the 4 restaurant owners. I think squidward is really a nice guy with a good heart for spongebob he was just unlucky for what is happening in his life and I want to defend him from those characters who truly wanted squidward to be embarrassed such as squilliam. Squilliam is one of the characters who deserves to be in DAVY JONES LOCKER

Four other misdeeds by Squidward... 1. He completely neglected (and forgot about) Gary when SpongeBob was away at a convention for the weekend, nearly starving the snail. 2. He sabotaged SpongeBob's dance audition by being his dance instructor and driving him to point of exhaustion so he can take his place. Although karma would bite him in the rear by the end of the episode when he has to take dance lessons from his rival Squillium, subjecting him to what he did to SpongeBob. 3. Reading his diary aloud at the Krusty Krab and showing no remorse for it. 4. Humiliating SpongeBob for loving his grandma and got other Krusty Krab patrons to join in on it, sending SpongeBob running out of the restaurant crying once again showing no remorse. Him and the patrons even gather to his grandma's house later to laugh at him out the window.

I always try to think of the positives when it comes to Squidward. I don’t wanna think like some people do and there like “oh Squidward is such a rude, selfish, arrogant, and very angry character.” While all of this is true, I try not to think of those things. But Squidward is very capable to be super nice, especially to SpongeBob because he knows SpongeBob is basically his only friend, so at least Squidward tries his best to defend SpongeBob too.
