The more I’ve pondered ‘Squid Baby’ throughout the years, the more I realize how profoundly disgusting it is for a kids show. The entire premise for that episode could probably be easily adapted into a fetishistic “adult” video. Take away the cartoony nature and you might as well be watching humiliation corn. I’m not saying it was genuinely made with that intention (although given what we now know about Nickelodeon I wouldn’t be surprised) but it could be interpreted that way.

IDK how squid baby was greenlit, it's just painful to watch and there's no humor. I don't think it is fetishistic at all, but I do believe that was the intent it was made with. Somebody at Nickelodeon definitely has a Squidward Torture Fetish

Unhonourable Mentions Reef Blower, The Campfire Episode, Skill Crane, Krusty Koncessionaires, Enchanted Tiki Land, Suction Cup Symphony and Squidward In Clarinetland honourable Mentions Good Neighbours, SquidBob TentaclePants, Squid Wood,Boat Smarts, House Fancy Toenail Scene compare this with Jellyfishing Firmly Grasp It it's a lot better, deserved and not gruesome, still the soup scene compared to Campfire Episode the marshmallows had more better intentions effort wise, Slide Whistle Stooges, Giant Squidward, Boating Buddies,Squids Visit, Cephalopod Lodge, Pineapple Fever like the toenail thing but an accident,That Sinking Feeling,Are You Happy Now, Restraining SpongeBob,Big Sister Sam,Plane To Sea and Friendiversary. I'm sure I'm in a minority on this, but it's probably something you should know. The bobbing around and swaying screen when you're showing clips was giving me genuine motion sickness. I doubt it will cause any real problems, but I could definitely imagine people having to stop watching. I, of course, don't want to tell you how to make your videos, so feel free to just ignore this, but I feel that dialing back the movement a bit could be beneficial in future videos

To be fair: The more Squidward torture episodes get released, the more we get to appreciate Band Geeks. It is already the best SpongeBob epsiode by far (followed by Pizza Delivery, also for Squidward doing what's right in the end). It might be the best Nickelodeon episode ever, or maybe even the best cartoon episide of all time

Honestly the modern-day annoy Squidward episodes are one of the reasons why I’ve tried to convince myself that I support Modern SpongeBob more than I’d be willing to watch it. Because sure, the bouts of experimental storytelling and decision to make the show more ensemble-driven are genuinely interesting and cool. But at the same time, is it worth it if the only thing distinct about the annoy Squidward episodes is the location they take place in? Look kids - Sponge and Pat are annoying Squidward in a hotel. Now they’re doing it on a bus. Now on a plane. Now in a pool. Now on a boat. …Okay, I made that last one up but I’m sure they’ll get to it soon enough. All told, it just feels like they make those episodes based upon Mad Libs nowadays. There are other reasons to dislike Modern SpongeBob, of course, but they’re not relevant to this video
