yeah in their timeline the real villains were patrick and spongebob, they freed manray, which i guess wasn’t totally bad but it showed that pat and sponge might not be the type of people who should be around that stuff. then they take them back to the past, reverting the good they did with manray, leaving them defenceless, and then abandoning them to die, in the world they created. did more than any of the real villains in the show, and they weren’t even trying 😭😭

I remember wondering if Man Ray, Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy are humans, as they live with the sea creatures and are able to breathe in water. Also they have roughly the same or similar size to the other characters, and we can see in the Spongebob movie that Spongebob and the other main characters are only like 10 to 15 cm in size, which means that Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy must have a similar size.

No I think the writers just forgot, and then created that episode as a way to explain what happened so they wouldn't have to admit they had a mistake in the continuity.
