Dont let the sound of his amp with this thing turn you off to it. I just received this guitar, plugged it into my orange and omg its a beast. Really is super good for what you are paying. I got it for the exact same reason he did, im a jim root fanboy and this definitely hits the vibe. Great guitar for metal.

I just ordered one of these for the same reason. I can’t afford a JIm Root Jazzmaster. I’m going to put some Seymour Duncan Nazgûl’s in it and some locking tuners.

I just got one myself from Reverb. I guess I'm just lucky, the set up was good from right out of the factory. The craftsmanship on my Jazzmaster is spot on. The frets were done like a pro. My jazzmaster was one of the best in terms of quality, as I have a few other Squires that needed a little help.I hope the quality control doesn't change from this factory. Like I found out the guitar attention to detail was excellent.

When I listened back in the editing process I️t was decent, but something weird happened between saving the final cut to a file and uploading to KZbin. Thanks for he honesty though! The sound on your epi sg review isn't bad. Personally I would fix the sound on this, or better yet, do a demo comparing the two guitars, because the Squier affinity jazzmasters are good. Even made from alder, not basswood like most squiers. I prefer the black ones though. Mine plays really nice, much more comfortable at bending strings than the Squier J mascis, but I do wish it had a tremolo. I wonder if the lack of trem effects playability...

it appears that you had the mono sound of the guitar coming out of 2 tracks (L&R) but one channel was out of phase. Change the phase on one of the channels, or simply erase one of them, and the phase cancellation should disappear.

I've owned strats mostly, but now I only have a Jazzmaster ('65 Reissue w antiquity P90s), it sounds amazing, plays great, and the asymmetry is perfectly ergonomic. There are a few things I wish they'd do differently, always have to modify a Jazzmaster somewhat, but great guitars. I don't know why this guitar qualifies as a Jazzmaster exactly, but id like to get one just to switch out the pickups and play around w it.

Ive owned that exact one since they first came out-the black on white has always been a color combo i like, and yes the hard tail bridge is a major factor in how badass this thing really is,you don't have the struggles of the floating trem system of a regular jazzmaster. the only real upgrade I did to mine was swap out the stock bridge pup with a DiMarzio EVO II,as the stock one sounded to thin/trebbly..but now it sounds awesome, and can really zero in on Nirvana-esque tones. Now,I did buy this back when it first came out,so maybe i did get the best of the bunch, but my neck had no sharp edges and the tuners hold tune really well. The selector switch IS cheap though, and I suggest swapping it with a better quality one,but other than that,I LOVE this guitar, and recommend to anyone looking for a jazzmaster style guitar they want to build off of or modify,or use as a beater

First off; Great job on the actual review, really helpful and honest... But I think you would've been better off just using whatever mic you used for the dialog, in the room with the cab... Don't take that the wrong way, hoss... Like I said, I think the actual review was awesome! You seem to be very well informed, and have a great "Everyman" type style, and I look forward to your future reviews, but I just think some technical issues held the playing demo back... I don't know if maybe you had a mic out of phase (which is what I suspect, in my totally amaetuer opinion), or it was just a level/mic/interface problem, but I would strongly suggest taking the time to go back and simply re-do JUST the playing part... It really doesn't do justice to the rest of this excellent review, and anything worth doing is worth doing right, and I would love to see you be successful in becoming a respected reviewer/critic... The world could use more people with your independent thinking/easy "Everyman" style... Cheers, best of luck, and hang in there, bud!

left and right channels are out of phase. wouldn't be so bad but they are then mixed together causing almost total cancellation of the guitar. I like your review of the Jazzmaster. I guess that really, it's just another stratocaster on an offset shaped chunka scrap wood. But I'm ordering one tomorrow anyway. By the way, it's easy to tell that the guitar audio was not a true reproduction of what your amplifier was "saying". It still sounds 110% nicer than the chainsaw POOKRAP rendition of "while my guitar violently pukes" that most guys are insulting us with. Fact is, I already know exactly what your guitar sounds like anyway. Because there's a million guitar reviews on Tube and Every one of them sounds identical! The difference between the expensive Ripoff guitars and the Monoprice or Affinity sensible units is nothing. Zero. Your video is unique across the whole world of internet because it is stand alone different. So don't change anything. Let them puke and mewl over the audio, you're getting the numbers, right?!
