I bought this guitar last week. I love it. I've been eyeing since they came out in my local shop. I fell in love with the neck in the store immediately! It has the same 12" radius as my Deluxe Roadhouse Strat, nice modern C shape, no sharp edges at all on the frets. Just awesome! I actually bought a Yamaha Pacifica 311 instead of the Contemporary Tele at first because I wanted a P-90. I kept the Yamaha for about a month trying to love it ( it is a really nice guitar), but I kept thinking about the Telecaster. I'd like to replace the saddles to some Fender bent steel, maybe locking tuners ( just cause I like them ). The pick ups are great. No complaints, although I may try a P-90 or lipstick in the neck. I have a 2017 Fender Deluxe Roadhouse Strat and a 2016 Fender Mustang ( both made in Mexico ). This tele has a better neck than the Mustang in fretting and finishing! Overall this Telecaster stands up to both of my Fenders and I will have no shame in playing her anywhere! Great revew by the way!

When I took my Squier Jazz to a tech for him to fit a new bridge (I didn't have the confidence at the time) he took the plastic wrap off the pickups. I was DEVASTATED. In fairness I'd had the bass for over a year and knew it was a keeper, so it's my fault for not taking it off sooner!

I love this guitar, and I’ve had it for about a day, but all buyers must know that this requires a fair setting up process, I personally adjusted the truss rod about a fourth of a turn to the left, since it was wildly buzzing on the low E. After that, and changing the strings, I had to tighten the saddles, and polish the neck. After that, it’s a great, extremely versatile instrument that won’t let you down. To anyone wanting to purchase it, PURCHASE IT! 9.99999/10 in my opinion. Possibly the best for the price, but if you can, go for the classic vibe series.

I like your guitar. In MHO the Squier Standard (I have a '99 Strat and a 2015 Tele) is the best deal going. I paid $225 for the Tele and have invested another $100 in updated CTS electronics, brass Gotoh individual saddles and Hipshot locking tuners; I didn't need to' I just thought it deserved some babying. It also came with a synthetic bone nut. Left the PUPs alone they are articulate yet mellow. I enjoy your videos, got you on my YT radar now. WooHoo.

Nice review! I've never really been grabbed by traditional Fender designs or specs. I just love the sound of humbuckers too much and there were no guitars that really grabbed me in my price range. But this guitar seems gorgeous; lovely sound, great look.
@ericpetrossian15826 жыл бұрын
On amazon they sell a pickup thats a single coil and single coil sized hum (exactly like the gfs one you have) together in a humbucker package its only $19 . .. so you can have a real single coil tone or humbucker if you wanted or a crazy combination of that and the bridge.... i would put a brown or red tort pickguard. ...and use a killpot or smaller momentary kill switch then that huge yellow one you have

Hey Snake, haha, the 8kohm specs put those humbuckers at the classic old-rock Les Paul PAF tonal target (modern gets into the 'teens). Did you look under the hood and see if the pickups have 2, 3, or 4 wires? It could be fun to split those coils with a push/pull.

Lovely guitar and I really like satin necks. But it sounds kind of lightweight compared to the Classic Vibe or Nashville, despite having humbuckers. There's no shortage of "firepower" in the tones of very early Clapton or Jimmy Page on Led Zep I, both of whom played Teles. Very nice review!

@alphanumeric15296 жыл бұрын
@@TheRatterdotcom This guitar is $350 new, USED MIM are easily $350 (but can even usually be had for $300). The Mim is legit as it is, don't need new tuners, new bridge/saddle, new electronics, new pups... I mean, this squier is new, clean and tight, but I don't think a Squier is going to sound better than a MIM, I don't think it is going to feel better under the hand (except I recently played a MIM bass and the frets were COMPLETELY unfinished, just cut and left completely raw, which is crazy, imo, that is more a squier thing in my experience, and oddly, the Squier had PERFECTLY finished fret ends.
