I’ve been looking at this guitar as a beginner, and you are the only person online I can find who actually reviewed it. How do you say it compared to the player strat? from an actual playing perspective

The difference between player and classic vibes isnt huge, they both sound equally good but the main difference in player guitars is that you get the fender logo so its better resale value, some better hardware and playability. Personally, I'd recommend you go for a Classic Vibe cuz its just a great guitar whether youre a beginner or a guitar virtuoso and the player guitars are known for some quality control issues.

@@shaf2806I ended up getting a player second hand in practically new condition for about the same price as the squire, I know the classic vibe is similar and almost as good but I couldn’t find any other videos on this specific edition, it’s the only HSS classic vibe 60s and wasn’t sure what else was added as the HSS is a BIG change but thank you for the response no less

@@DocZesty no problem mate. You can always check Sweetwater when you want the specs of some guitar tho. If they have it in stock they'll have listed all the specs. They're very meticulous about it.

Neck is also a bit different. Fender player has a modern C whereas the Classic vibe has a slim C. Different shape but same radius. Classic vibe also has tall narrow frets vs the player had medium jumbo frets. Slightly different feel.

@@shaf2806 I agree 110% all the classic vibes I've owned have better fretwork etc.. the only advantage I had with my player series telecaster was a little better finish and the bridge was a little heavier saddles etc. so I swapped out bridge with 6 saddle brass 25.00, and bridge pup alnico v rails type 20.00 from Amazon I think a fleor branded one 13 k ohms. Basic fret level polish and setup etc.. the classic vibe now is on par with the American made stuff minus the resale value of course.. but for 450 total investment and an hour or 2 of setup work the guitar is a beast. 450 vs 800 for mim player or 1200.00 Mia tele.. that classic vibe is a great value for sure..

I’d like to see the HSS bridge pick up compared to the standard single coil 60s classic vibe pickup. It would be a cool test to see what the actual difference sounds like everything the same, clean vs distortion, etc.

Hey homie, the signature guitar of his was a Schecter PT. It sports a Monster tone 2 in the neck position and a Seymour duncan STL-1 in the bridge position. Getting a Schecter PT special and swapping the pickups will be as close as you are going to get. (And the pick guard to hold the new neck pickup) But you could also throw these pickups into a Squier classic vibe standard and get close too. The main difference between the two options is the neck radius

Also, is the only real difference between the red tele and "normal" classic vibe 60's teles the finish?
