Squirrel Hunting with my MARLIN 60 .22 lr !

I took a hunting trip to the Squirrel woods in search of the infamous Grey Squirrel. I had a great morning hunting for Squirrels and it was a lot of fun! I was using a Model 60 22 lr with a Bushnell Banner Scope 3x9x40 . Squirrels are great to eat buy the way.

That must be an earlier marlin model 60 than what I have. My sleeve goes to the end of the barrel. Took mine apart to clean it and itd been jamming pretty frequently found out it was pretty rough where the action makes contact rubbing. Took some 1000 grit sandpaper and smoothed that down and oiled it well. Hasn't jammed since I cleaned and sanded rough spots out of the action.

Always wanted to try squirrels from my back yard. Seems like a good source of free protein that can be very tasty, that ragu recipe seemed awesome. I bought a pellet rifle since I had to deal with some squirrels raiding the bird feeders, after two or three shot, the little rascals stopped coming by. Do you have a how to clean video?

I’m going squirrel hunting tomorrow. 3-5 inches of snow in Pittsburgh pa though. We have to wear orange hat and 250 square orange inches of vest to hunt though.

It's the same way at my house, just as many squirrels and rabbits as in the woods. I will have to get a few traps to supplement my hunting.

My marlin model 60 has a problem with the trigger where if you don’t pull it right or hard enough or something it won’t fire so it usually takes a couple pulls before it shoots. Anyone else have this problem and anyone have any solutions?

Squirrel might’ve died from capture myopathy. They see this is animals captured and released for research among other things. They get too stressed from the capture and die. Neat stuff.

Junior Madden round here dog hunting is north of hwy 4 in blackwAter or on egland afb. In blackwater you need a quota permit and egland you need to be registered so best advice I can give is get in with a good group that dog hunts it's a lot cheaper that way

555Trout actually it won’t say you shot a potato out of a potato gun up it won’t come down at the same speed it won’t it will just drop people thinking it’s going to come down and kill them it’s not. this is always told to not shoot up it exaggerated like crazy and just false I wouldn’t want a 12g slug shot up though it’s heavier I don’t recommend just shooting a bunch of guns in the air at all but 22 is just fine
