I actually enjoyed the movie as not an adaptation but original story with similar elements AND FOR the insane implication that Ciel not only lived longer but had KIDS. Like I’m genuinely curious about this family tree. Did he have a contract with Sebastian? Did Sebastian let him live longer? Was it Lizzy? Who are his kids? I could go on and on with this madness

A curse that makes all of his descendants make a contract with a demon. I highly belive that this is the same demon every time cuz what are the chances? What are the chances of someone sumnoning the same demon tbeir ancestors did. Plus give him the same name. Yea that's Sebastian for sure

Honestly, I'm never really a fan of theories that come from sorta unrelated media but with this movie allredy kinda confirming that Ciel has a twin, I'm just gonna belive whatever the heck I can. Ciel was able to either beat Sebastian or just got lazy and kept on telling sebastian ''I'm gonna do it later'' (wich would be pretty in character for him ngl) OR... no I'm not gonna go so far, who do you think I am? I actually really loved the movie. Its nice to know that the Phantomhive family lives on. Most of the complaints I've heard is because they aren't retelling Ceil's story but that's unfair. The soundtrack is amazing. The actor playing Sebastian got down to around a hundred pounds to play the part. He was so good! The Aunt Red character in the movie was married and pregnant with Shirio's father's child when gunmen attack kills her child and causes her to not be able to conceive again. He then marries Shirio's mother because she can produce heirs. The Genpo/Phantomhive family must have a male heir which is way Shirio dresses as a boy.

Fun fact the German dub of the Live Action movie used the same voice actor as the German dub of the anime for Sebastian.

everytime i remember this movie i want to die just a little - especially since i procstinated stuyding for my chemistry exam to watch it back in high school. i was fine since it was mulitpe choice exam but i could have got better mark my obession with bb had no boundaries lol

I'm gonna give my honest opinion about this movie. It's ok. It's not a masterpiece but It's watchable and enjoyable. However It's on thin ice with my nerves. They wanted the descendents trope? Fine, BUT YOU COULD HAVE AT LAST TRIED! LIKE WHY GO WITH THAT TROPE IF ALL THE CHARACTERS LOOK AND ACT THE SAME AS IN THE MANGA! EVEN THEY'RE NAMES! LIKE THRY DIDN'T EVEN CHANGE TANAKA, WHAT DID HW DO, LIVED UP TO 4 GENERATIONS OF PHANTOMHIVE!!?? But seriously they could have not done the descendeds trope and everything would be better Now to everything I love about this movie. Sebastian looks absolutely amazing and better then in the manga. The story is interesting. Shiyori is much more independent then Ciel while also visibly needing Sebastian. I love the turn the story took with the aunt, that was creative. I like the plot wist and I live for a scene where she sees Sebastian as ger dad

I must say I watched this movie twice but I only now realise how different he acts and hoe different his bond with the contractor is ( if you can even call what he has eith the movie MC s bond)

My first time commenting! Honestly, I've been a fan of Black Butler manga for many years. The only thing I heard about the movie is hate, so I almost didn't end up watching it. Which would be a shame. Sure, it's not the best movie out there, but I find the alternative universe in this movie interesting. I think both actors did a really good job at their rules. Descendant thing aside, the action scenes were good, the music was nice and the plot actually had so many twists that it surprised me completely. It's not an adaptation, but rather more like a "what if" plot. I didn't expect to cry at the end either, but I did. I was worried Shiori would be a complete copy paste of Ciel, but she ended up standing by herself very well. Her dynamic with Sebastian is different but interesting to watch. She's older, mature yet so clearly in need of Sebastian and his assistance. They work together in tandem. Overall, would watch again. 😊

I was an extra in this movie. There were many sceans shot in Kitakyushu. The theme park scene was shot at space world which is unfortunately been turned into a big shopping center. It was a fun experience.

Depending on where you live season 1 and Book of Circus are on Funimation, and Book of Atlantic Movie is on Crunchyroll. Netflix has season 2. Book of Murder is not on any streaming platform. However, most anime piracy websites should have all of the anime. Just be careful and use an adblock!
