Thanks for all the book recommendations. I definitely will be reading a few of these, but also leaving others alone. We all have our tastes, which is great and I love your enthusiasm and honesty in what you like.

I made a list of all the books you chose, Tommi! There's a lot I'm certain to read. I'm currently reading Stephen Fry's books on Greek Mythology, five stars! Anna Karenina is a book I love and reread quite often. It's a Feb. read for sure. Cant wait to look into all of your selections! PS. and it seems all I've been knitting since January is socks for my husband, which is wonderful as he wears them for 3/4 of the year and even remembers to take them out of the washing machine and lay them atop the dryer!!

Thank you for the book reviews! I’m usually ahead of everyone with many books, and this was refreshing to see authors not explored. Tolstoy for the win. Again appreciate you immensely.

I read My Year of Rest and Relaxation, and I loved parts, and hated parts. I was constantly torn about the protagonist's situation: is this funny, tragic, both? I haven't heard anyone else's take on the book so it will be interesting to hear yours. I have a feeling you will like it. Funny, as you were describing Bunny this book came to mind! I'm going to pick up a copy it sounds interesting. I really enjoy these "booktube" videos, thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts on what you're reading!

Hey, you should read "Elantris" by Brandon Sanderson. It reminded me of the book about insiders and outsiders. I know Brandon is well praised and seems like very mainstream, but of all the books I've read, I can never forget it. As far as I know, it's a standalone. I haven't checked up on it lately, though, so that might change.

Thanks Kat! While I do love Klara and the Sun, I kind of think that Never Let Me Go is a bit more of a banger. I had to sit with Klara more for it to sink in as a really great read (which it was), but Never Let Me Go was like YES, definitely, instantly, this is a new favorite author.

Just here to say that in the last few weeks I have read two books based on your recommendation: Piranesi and The Five Wounds. I loved them both. Also, there is a movie adaptation of Remains of the Day starring Anthony Hopkins and Emma Thompson. I haven't been following along with your book videos for very long, but have you read Atwood's Maddaddam trilogy? Definitely an old favourite of mine.

Lapvona is so silly. I think you’ll probably laugh at just how absurd the yucky stuff gets.

It's funny how everybody's taste is different. I absolutely LOATHED The Pisces. I read it years ago and still feel angry when I think about it. That poor dog. (Yes, fictional animal abuse still bothers me.)

Totally! It's amazing how we can all relate to things differently and that there are so many books out there that we can all have different tastes. And, yep, the Pisces main character is super hateable. She definitely can generate some anger.
