Nice job. I basically did the same thing with my old 257 Husqvarna, that I bought brand new in 96I think it was. I had way too much squish, I think it was around .056", so I made the mandrel and cut the bottom of the cylinder to be at .020" squish, did the muffler mod while I was at it, Motoseal and no gasket. It went from about 140 pounds of compression to about 175 and it woke it right up. I done good I done good I tell ya. LOL. That saw is in such nice condition because I'm not a logger or anything, I just cut firewood for the fireplace. But I don't use it much anymore I have collected so many saws. When I go in the woods, I think I have a bigger pile of chainsaws than wood I bring back. A guys gotta tinker and play with his toys you know. LOL Take care.
