SR 34067 on The Scarborough Spa Exp Heading for the Seaside 27/06/24

With the 1st Scarborough Spa Express of 24 Tangmere was in charge of the tour from Carnforth to Scarborough and return . Don't remember Tangmere doing a tour to Scarborough before, must have been a while ago, a per a push from 47802 hoping to get there 1st 🤣, but a fire risk warning may have been in operation, filmed at Clapham and leaving hellifield .

I'm aged 79, and when we were children and later, lineside fires were common everywhere, I just wish there were more to keep the scandalously overgrown linesides in check so no leaves on the lines and we passengers would actually have a side view instead of appearing to be travelling through a green tunnel . Thanks for the comment, an alley wayof trees and overgrown trees and bankings, yes need a good fire to burn and clear them, but seriously the railways are a mess, even trees growing out of bridges, Steve .

Doing a bit of work accelerating away from Clapham, but diesel soon took over. Glad I didn't continue to Hellifield, looked a bit damp there
