I think it does look cool with the red stabilizers. I do prefer the blacked out scale look though. I was obsessed with this plane as a kid I have to get one.
@kentbarnes1955 Жыл бұрын
Thank you and Abby as always! If you recall...I'm a hardcore scale guy...but I don't mind the "red" tail fins. It DOES make it easier to see...and that's important for so many reasons, safety not the least. With regard to "scale" flight...that's pretty much impossible with this bird anyway as that would require you to essentially fly it SO high it would be out of sight. And no...I don't think the full scale ever "did a loop" (certainly not on purpose). If you want a good "aviation" laugh look up the video on YT titled "LA Speed Check". It's a hoot. Take care and my God bless you and yours always.

SR-71 is one of my favorite Buck Rogers type jets ever! In real life, the SR-71 would leak like crazy on the runway because at its operational altitude the jets panels would actually shrink and seal up the fuel leaks. It also had to refuel immediately after takeoff because the jet could not take off with a full tank....I would love to see them come out with a U-2 as well!!!

As long as you guys are having a great time, so are WE! I prefer camera or FPV drones or the various cars you crash for us (I briefly flew control line .049s, but even with RC it's still basically going 'round in circles) Despite that, this is a cool looking and sounding aircraft. I didn't know about EDF jets it's like flying a Tesla, thanks,...
@csrcm Жыл бұрын
Awesome flying!!!!!! Nate, you were saying you would like rudder control on that plane. I wonder if you could setup thrust differential being it has 2 motors or if that is even an option? Have a great day😀😀😀
@jedbedrock2944 Жыл бұрын
Watching it in the air reminds me of the F-4 Phantom. It basically couldn't glide and its tail was so heavy that it needed a lot of thrust to keep it going. I noticed the tail was dragging on a few of the show passes, and seeing as the SR-71 was designed to move at super sonic speeds. The model needs quite a bit of speed to have a nice stable flight. And yes, I much prefer the red vertical stabilizers as well.

After watching your videos, I checked it out on HH's website and read the lone 3 star review. I realize that everyone is entitled to their opinion and I respect that, but did the HH reviewer just have a bad experience? I've watched both of your videos and it seemed to be pretty well mannered and fairly fast. Could it have done with a slightly bigger EDF as the reviewer seems to suggest?
@TheRcSaylors Жыл бұрын
Sounds like the reviewer is simply upset that they didn’t make it larger, but I haven’t read that review. Hey, if it was bigger, it would cost more. I mean, I can be negative about the glass of water I drank today if you want me too. It is what it is, and from there you need to “review” it for just that. To give it 3 out of 5 stars because it isn’t larger just seems ridiculous. It flies well. It’s only downside is that it’s hard to see at certain distant angles, and we discuss that in our video. It also likes throttle. Don’t fly it half throttle, especially on banks approaching landings!! (Wing tip stall) so there ya go! If you accept those two negatives, I promise you’ll love owning and flying it!! Thanks for watching 👍💯😎❤️⚓️

just asking once again, what is a good radio to do air and heli? or maybe even ground?
@spykezspykez7001 Жыл бұрын
I don’t think you can go wrong with a dx9. The newer lower end Spektrum seem ok (I have one) but they don’t seem to have the feel of being as solidly constructed as the older ones. New high end ones I have not tried. They cost more. Futaba is great but a lot less intuitive IMO. Most other radios (open tx etc) are more fiddly than Spektrum and for a beginner this could be overwhelming but still if you’re not daunted, explore them. But all in all, I cannot *not* recommend Spektrum for a beginner and especially for helis. They are generally easy to use, horizon BNF’s are a plenty... you get HH support. Just do it.
@justinryan9417 Жыл бұрын
I've been using a Dx8e since 2020, it works great. Though I wish I had spent a little extra and gotten a Dx8. I would recommend an Nx8 for beginners, as it has more mixing options ,and forward programming.
@scottsymonds1950 Жыл бұрын
@@justinryan9417 so i have a few radios, my last being JR 10x but of course obsolete now. just wondering what i can use for both heli and plane now.
@justinryan9417 Жыл бұрын
@scottsymonds1950 Any Spektrum transmitter with enough channels will do both of those,and drones as well. I use my Dx8e for 16 different planes,and 4 different helis.
