When my squadron was TDY at Kadena AFB (SR-71 operation base), I had a chat with a Habu driver in the O-club one evening. He couldn't really talk about actual performance data, but he did say this using "suppose" as the lead in, "If we had to punch out at max mach over NY City, our pods would be recoverd somewhere near Las Vegas". Supposedly ""Darkstar" has almost twice the mach rating, where would they wind up after punching?

How dead do you want the enemy on this mission? I want a Raptor, a Spirit, and a Darkstar deployed. Dear Lord,,,
