I respect he has it NA, beautiful car. I had a 2001 Sentra 2.0, loved that engine, but like many Ontario cars rust was the death of the car 💔.

What's that in your shop, a Ratson 510 road-ent? Hide your wallet man, those things eat money! Looks and sounds like a well sorted SR swap guys. I'm not a fan of blinging out a classic so I'm psyched you're maintaining that old school look and hiding the modern drivetrain under the hood. You'll shock the shit out of some folks with that setup. Something about side drafts on a four banger, sounds so damn real I can almost smell the gas fumes through my screen. Also cool to see those velocity stacks hanging off the wide twin cam head. Reminds me of the Skyline GT-R Hakosukas. Sure a Gen 2 GT-X2867R will make 400+ hp on an SR, but these days everybody and their sister has a DET. Drive that thing like you stole it cuz 200 rwhp is serious shit kick'n fun in a little 510. Keep the updates coming on your dime and if you ever get the bug to go turbo, look me up. Happy to share my experience.

I sort of get the 'original finish' line of thought, but if I got the car THIS far and was happy with it, I'd have a hard time resisting getting a real nice new paint job on it too.

Not that anyone cares, but the headlights are reversed. The BMW ellipsoid headlights are the low beam on the outside. I'm sure it's set up to work correctly either way, but worth mentioning.

@@Pat-an-joProductions that is the issue with this swap. I did bot the ellipsoid outer low beams and BMW high beams on my 510 just to get modern connectors and bulb replacement.

Love the purple paint on that jewel of a motor! ...I'm about to pull my KA from my 510 for a rebuild... I'm going to ditch the Rabbit radiator with pusher fan for a more forward mounted AFCO with room for a SPAL puller fan. Cheers!

Bro take it from me. Go turbo. Just contact me and I’ll tell you which turbo that will satisfy you for years to come. You won’t regret it. You said 200 whp. Try 400 to 500 whp in this car it’s so much fun! I’ve had two sr20det 510’s. If that is a VVL motor and you boost it, you will be able to rev it to insane levels!

Hey Kevin, it's Ron aka Paradime on Ratsun with the Yellow and Black SR swapped 510. What boost unit are you trying to sell Pat on? From experience homey, 500hp in a 510? Even with a stout R180 LSD and sticky 8" track tires, you're wasting 250hp on wheel smoke. I got so damn sick of trying to wrestle my laggy ass T3 GT3071R to the ground I finally kicked it to the curb. Swapped it for a smaller 2nd gen Disco Potato and put it on the same T3 manifold. Holy shit damn the SR's bottom end got woke right the F up. The new GTX2867R is some serious next level sauce. Lil thing starts making boost at 2200 rpm and puts out 370hp before the 3071 was even spooling up. The power curve is more linear and accessible so while I'm sacrificing a bit at the top end, I'm able to put way more go on the ground where it counts. My 510 isn't built for top end track speed, but 0-60 and accelerating out of corners the 2867 is much faster and that's what counts in autocross and real world street bombing. BTW, What ever happened to that sick dime Super Mario built for you? Still have it?

Couldn't watch more than half of this. Great looking car. Love the retro vibe and the modern driveline mashup (this is much how I will build mine when I start)...but the camera work is horrific! Could not focus on any one part to see what tricks and tips to consider, and quite frankly, my eyes hurt after about 3 minutes. If you're reading this, please redo this vid and find someone with a steady hand.
