Nice video however icing was dumped down in previous sim updates. icing is no longer a factor, it is impossible to stall the aircraft even when it isfully iced up.

3600 lb is not "a tiny bit below", it exactly is the MTOW for a SR22 G6 (and G5).

Is it me or that ice just kept accumulating? Even if it's just an anti-ice and not a de-icing, it should of limited or stopped the ice from growing... My understanding from the Fenix A320 is that the icing system in MSFS is broken, hence why they recommend to deactivate it. PMDG still seems to recommend to keep it on... though there were discussions in the forum that it didn't work well.

I can confirm that the deicing system on the SR22 of MSFS is not operationnal. It does absolutely nothing (confirmed by looking at the icing variables in developper mode).

I think this is a anti-icing system. Not a de-icing system. Therefore, it can't remove the ice acumulated. You have to turn it on before icing conditions. Thanks for the video anyways.

actually it can remove the ice accumulated. The limitation is that it's pouring fluid through tiny holes in the leading edge : if there is too much ice and all the holes are blocked, then the fluid can't come out and do its job. It's why it's recommended to switch the system ON before ice accumulation. But it's still working fine as long as not all the leading edge is covered with ice.

I don't think the system can rid of any ice, I haven't managed to do it regardless of how I used it. I'm not sure if it's simulated correctly, or simulated at all.

It's not simulated at all, you are right. Only panel button and gauges are showing something, but nothing is actually done on the ice.
