You say this is far from perfect but I say this the perfect tribute. There's an emotion I felt from this track that filled me with hope that one day, maybe Nintendo will return Metroid to its former glory, and for that I thank you. You, Doc, and the rest of the staff who helped this game come to reality is one of the best gifts Metroid fans could ever ask for. You guys have amazing talent, and I hope everything is still going well even after the... unfortunate events that took place after AM2R's release. Yet another track will go into my playlist. Thank you for this little bonus and being the composer of this wonderful game, Torby!

Thank you! That means a lot. If there's one part I'm really pleased with, it's the mix between ancient power and the hatchling theme. A very symbolic harmony between Metroid II's and AM2R's soundtrack.

I second what NovemberZulu said. It is a masterpiece that reminded me of the good times of everything I know Metroid and why I love it as a whole. You should be proud of the work you put into this, you have literally made me shed a tear of joy. Bravo.

I've only ever played through this game twice. But this... This is fantastic. Phenomenal, even, and it's making me choke up a bit. I enjoyed Samus Returns when it came out, but I just can't get past how amazing AM2R is, musically, and as a game, as a whole experience. Thank you. You, Torby, and Milton, and everyone else who contributed to this incredible experience. You all did an amazing job, one Nintendo will be hard-pressed to surpass.

This track floods me with emotions like the credits track from AM2R does and managed to bring tears to my eyes. AM2R was truly a work of love since everyone who worked on it poured their heart into it, and this track really encapsulates that feeling perfectly. Thank you

**jaw drops** Jesus. And I thought the version actually picked for AM2R's release was the best version of the tunnel/SR388 theme. I stand mistaken. Note: I still love the official AM2R version.

After hearing of nintendos take down notice on the project, I was pissed. I was very lucky to get it day one thanks to Dr. M's countdown. But the fact that the only way to play it now is through fucking torrents is just, ugh. Hearing this nearly gave me a tear. As if it's a reminder to the years the Dr had to go through to produce this great work of art known as AM2R. AM2R is fucking amazing and I hope the Dr moves on with his talent. I'm glad he isn't pissed off but i'm sure as hell pissed at nintendo. Yes, I know it was 100% legal for nintendo to protect their IP, especially since they're still selling the original on the eshop. The Dr gave us something we haven't seen in years, and that was a good metroid game. I salute the Dr, and you for making this heart breaking music track.

Wonderful work, this was really elegantly done. I truly loved AM2R. Of course, Metroid II is still a masterpiece, but AM2R brought WAVES of nostalgia while I was playing it. The Hydro Station soundtrack and the nod to Metroid Fusion with the Hornoad scene stopped me in my tracks and say WOAH. You, Doc, and everyone else involved did a fantastic job. I hope you continue to surprise us in the future with your talents.

hey not sure if you saw my other comment on the power distribution theme you did, but I just wanna thank you, the music of metroid has always been a huge factor in regards to a good metroid experience. in all honesty i was kinda meh towards the soundtracks in am2r but that was until I got to area 5. I was literally blown away. up to that point the majority of the soundtracks were just revisions or covers of previous metroid songs but when I heard the power distribution it took me way back to my early days of playing metroid.... like flashbacks to how it felt playing super metroid or metroid fusion for the first time. it was refreshing to hear something that belongs in a metroid game that was fresh. ever since I first heard the area 5 themes, everytime I enter that section I raise the music volume to Max. even during my speed runs I take the time to do that. you really have helped create a true masterpiece. and Im sorry Nintendo shut down the project as well as future ones.... I share the game whenever I can . anyways that's all. keep doing the world a favor and keep pumping out stuff like this.

Thank you so much for the piano sheets! This is one of my favorite metroid-related songs I've ever come across. The emotions are so powerful, I can hardly stand it. I understand entirely why it was right to use a remix of the original credits music (I think as much Metroid II RoS music needed to be remade as possible), BUT this one stands all on its own as a truly perfect bonus track. Thank you for your service.

This song is all over my playlists, both at home and on my phone for the road. I cannot get enough of that driving section with the vocals leading into the strings. Chills every single time. Good show. Also I'm pretty sure the music was my favorite part of the power distribution center. My only complaint is that I don't get to hear the first version very long because the path inevitably leads you to the activation terminal entirely too soon. Thank you for being a part of one of the best games I've played in years.

That means a lot to me, thank you! That part of the song is what I'm most proud of in my music "career". Composing a theme, and then developing it and even combining it with an already established theme. Took so much time, but so worth it.

This is a beautiful composition on it's own, but a perfect feeling of ambiance that the original Metroid games gave us, the lonely and sad but at the same time majestic and exciting feeling of strange and exiting alien worlds. This track is a great example of the feeling of exploration, discovery of new things, and anticipation of what one will find. Love the reverb on the keys too!!! Hahaha. You have a great future as a composer, as music is all about delivering an emotion or particular feeling through sonic arrangement. Thank you for your work.

No problem, glad you enjoyed it! The VST is addictive keys, with some "church" reverb in cubase 8. I will do my best to keep it up for new projects :)

Addictive keys huh, have to check it out. I use Reason's samplers for most of my pianos, and it's various synths for most of my other keys, but always on the lookout for good VST's.

I made this song my title screen theme on AM2R once I had hit 100% completion. It felt like a great little change to make after having completed it. Edit: I currently don't have a working computer. I miss AM2R so much. I need to get a new PC... Edit 2 (7/20/2024) I just replayed the whole game on my Steam Deck with my music mods. What a great time!

Hey, Torby, I want to ask 2 things, maybe not so agreeable, but I hope not cause big problems. Well, 1: In your answer about letting me use anything when I asked in the Ancient Power video, Ihad doubts about what was including, and what wasn't. Well, I know Acient Power, but else I'm not sure. Pherhaps Flooed Complex... Anyways, now I want to ask for permission about his Bonus Track, SR388. I didn't asked before because I was worry about copyright, but looks like enough acceptable than... previous legal thoughts... from myself. I don't know how greedy may I look like, but I haven't made any bad use, yet. So far, things here had been ok, isn't it? And 2: Do you know about Metroid Confrontation music? There were some of the AM2R tests before, during some time, with different music. I want to know if you know about who could be necessary to ask, in case you know if some permission should be required. I asked in/on other channel, and haven't recieved answer. f you don't have any information about it, is ok, I don't need to take more valuable time if nothing else I can learn asking here, or if it takes much energy to answer. I hope this is enough for not forging bad relationship, and the channel be at peace. Good days.
