Thank you for sharing this - much appreciated. I remember seeing this back in the day on Sk8 TV. The manufacturing process here uses a bunch of the same machines ( types ) and processes as making guitars - pretty cool.

Both or my decks i ride are Powell Peraltas and both are mike v elephants and one of them is a re-issue of the 1988 deck is purple, blue, pink, green and grey and the other one is red, gold, blackish and grey :) both are elephants so its sweet!

This had to be filmed in like 1988 and just shown in 1990 cause.there was already double kick boards and non of those are double kick. They are pretty 80s still.

@a w Yeah but the nose is shorter..I had a 1988 Steadham with a crazy upturned nose and a 1989 Jeff Hartsel which had a 5 inch upturned nose

@Ron Wright its a still double kick board just a shaped board from the reasearch i done from the 80s to early 92 boards still had the sqaure tail and pointy noise and even when the early popsicle shapes came out aka the football shaped boards they were still huge

The mini logo ones are made in China. I bought one and it says made in China. They do still make some here in California.

Powell Peralta stillmakes their board in the US and sells it the same price as Santa Cruz who makes their Deck in china. What the fuck. Props to Stacy.
