The level art looks good, but the level design is lacking. To be fair, its like one guy doing this, but I can’t excuse lazy map making.

AccelMom is scrapped. It’s horrible and feels like srb1 physics. Now most signs are pointed towards the ‘Preserves’ build

The only think I can think of what might be why everything in these maps are so empty is because of it being a co-op pack, maybe to reduce lag for net games

honestly this has to be the best trash bin subject, the levels aren’t awful and it’s a pretty ok experience.

Hello, it's me, the man himself, hows it going? i really thanks you for reviewing my mod! I'm sorry for the bible, but i'll try to explain all points you do here. 1:15 you were NOT wrong, i honestly had no f*cking idea what to even do, as i had no experience with industrial themes by that point on Development. The map originally came from a linear and pretty tight map, with even less stuf to make it look at least atractive, despite its small size. 2:10 I'm not gonna lie, while that was the point of the map, being a red hot cave with lava, it's been less than a year since i started learning how to do maps i general, as i originally started creating the map pack together as i was learning. 2:40 what else can i add here, despite what you said, inagination aint my strongest point, everything i did on most maps came directly from intuition, and quick flashes of "what should be in here?". 3:00 that was the point of the boss, while its not hard on CEZ 3, i wanted to have a fairly easy boss for a first boss encounter, without adding an Egg Mobile, because that would been too cliché to add as first boss. 3:43 yeah sorry, i had no idea how to add egg capsules, and it also saved me a f*ck ton of time by not adding them, and check the "end level on death" flag instead on the boss. That way was hella quicker and easier to set a boss fight, and it also spares you of a few seconds on which you need to jump onto the capsule. 4:10 on that moment when i added i was like "haha, bombs go brr", and then i left them there, lol. 4:17 yeah sorry, that's been an issue i had left there for god knows how long, because since i always use either amy or tails when testing, i had no idea of that softlock until not too long ago, when i accidentally discovered it. 5:12 ngl, i always forgot the fact that you could overshoot and hit the cloud from under it, mostly because how second nature the maps had became for me, cuz how many times i tested them, so i kinda don't even notice it when i get past there. 5:50 i must say i felt pretty much like, "galaxy brain", and i'm not kidding when i say that it was easier to set up than i thought, despite never having played with skyboxes properly before. They can make up for some very funny gimmics, and about the boss, if you even knew what came before him.. It was too tedious for me as you originally fight against Fang, and small platforming with lotta voids, aint a funny place to fight against him. 6:38 as stated before, im sorry for that, i never seem to be able to find any good way to make my maps, they just come out of pure intuition, hence why always having basic stuff on them, and maybe one change here and there. 6:52 i gotta be honest, the whole zone was made to be tedious and hard on purpose lol, why? because why not? hence why the spam of enemies on Act 1, or even the space themed map on Act 2 7:16 i didnt wanted to be that much of an a*hole you know? lol that's why i always add hints for things like that, and other past this one map 7:22 that originally started being a Metal Sonic fight, but cuz how much of a pain he is, i just gave up and ended up just changing the boss, without even thinking to adapt the arena to him 8:19 that map is the first one, that i remember at least, on which i left everything aside, to focus mainly on the visuals, as all my maps always lacked that, before this one. I'm not kidding when i say it took me the longest a map could even take me, a week. While most maps only take up to a day or two 8:29 yeah im sorry about that, map was already lag enough, i had to take some last second meassures in order to optimice it and make it more bearable for potato pc users (like me) 8:56 i mean, that's technically the point of the whole zone, the name aint just coincidence, that's why it's called "Pacific Travel", the idea was to have a some sort of "break" before going back to business 9:50 the previous version of that map was way too unoptimiced and in general, not fun at all, so the map had to be redone from scratch too. 10:24 i must say that i don't feel very proud of that, even i get to rise my anxiety levels to an unhealthy point, because enemies like the bees, or the bomber dragonfly 10:46 yeah im sorry, i owe you the visuals, i always sucked very bad at that, hence why Pacific Travel 1 is the only good looking of them all, i'm not very good at that 11:26 the original idea was having braks and all that crap, that's why the lava cascades, but after several updates trying to fix the electric shield from brak getting stuck on a spot, basically softlocking you, i just said "f*ck it, ill just replace them with something else". 11:47 the thing that makes the bosses prevent the door from opening it's a check called "no more enemies", which it's basically everywhere except two small spots, that are so tiny instead, that i never got to notice them, so the door opening early while it was originally a mistake, i left it unchanged because i hate metal boss with all my soul. He is small enough to fit in any of these spots without that check, allowing you to open the door early. Anyways, thank You for having reviewed my maps, i'm not a proffesional :( have me some mercy

The fact that you (and other modders who got featured on this channel) can take criticisms, especially harsh criticisms like the Trash Bin videos puts you above most of the modders on the MB, especially STJr affiliated ones

@@phantasmuh Yeah, all of the easier issues, aka, technical stuff like the softlock pond, for example all have been already fixed, and it was very easy to do, only took me a few minutes, yet i still don't know how to fix the decoration issues, as i have no idea how to make maps look good, without overloading them till they lag even in Singleplayer

Have you heard of the old Deep Sea Act 2 Remake for 2.2? Honestly looked like it was better than the final one, the most common wall texture has some color rather than just being greyed out, the background was maybe some Crystal cave or something that might’ve gone surface bound because there is half a moon and a Aurora borealis in the old BG, the zone looked like a whole open palace too somewhat even like hidden palace but with a more blue palette instead of green, there’s an unused Crystal decoration, unused animated gears or cogs that changes the water level, etc… all this stuff was removed and the level changed into a 2.1 remake because some guy named Rob hated this reimagining of Deep Sea

I think the emptier levels in this pack might have been made to encourage racing? idk, but it makes sense to me. Having fun breaks where players just race each other.

wow, at least this was one of the few level pack mods who had _some_ amount of thought put into it, although seemingly a little boring, seems fine honestly, just needs a bit of more improvement

I found out how to heck said it on the game banana but at the same time the second time I tried just to get out of a level in SRB to the past let me say it did not go well and it said load failed to the save that same was gone probably because I just spilled things with a zeros

i remeber playing this mappack in a server sometime ago, and, while sure, it isnt the best one out there, there was a _very_ good attempt at it. and this mappack is like miles better compared to some of the other trash bin mappacks

Hello, I heard about this video because when Soniku11 talked about this on the SRB2GB discord server. I don't have much else to say about this level pack that Soniku11 hasn't already said (other than a secret exit being directly behind the starting point of the first level in the left small waterfall) so... your review is pretty neat and as such good job. (I'm not much of an SRB2/Doom nerd)
