MSV...is incomparable. He pioneered into different genres of music. He kept pace with the trends. MSV of 50s looked different in 60s. MSV of 60s looked different in 70s. And MSV of 70s looked different in the 80s. In 87...he gave us some fantastic tunes in MELLA THERANTHATHU KATHAVU orchestrated by Illayaraja. In the 80s...he sounded as trendy as Illayaraja.Example...RAGANGAL PATHNAARU....

Shri Sreekumaran Thampi , a veteran in many ways , speaks extremely well about the late maestro Shri. M. S. Viswanathan , as he names him as the most brilliant music directors of all times. His speech often turns emotional when he spoke of MSV's impeecable qualities as a musician , who according to Mr. Thampi was simply incomparable with other musicians of his times. Mr. Thampi was closely associated with MSV for many movies , and their closeness had flourished for so long and together they had created some of the finest songs that Malayalam music Industry has produced.
