How nice to see you again this week ! And what a cheap motorbike rental ! Silent beach - lovely! Justina's fall - the loveliest (Justina, how did you do that ona flat sand?? :) As for the shoes - they are very similar to the ones I used in Croatia in 2014. They were ... I don't know - maybe the same solution. I also could climb the rocks and I was safe. Thanks Girls for the movie. Keep well!!

The milk rice is supposed to be eaten with a sambal as a condiment (usually either seeni sambal or katta sambal). And it's indeed made with coconut milk. Nobody would make it with cow's milk. :-)

Oh my memories! We spent two weeks on this beach in super great hotel Blue Horizon. It was summer 2016. I cannot believe it is already 6 years ago! The beach was empty even at that time and I remember that the waves were sooo huge we couldn't really swim in the sea, just like play with the waves like you in the video. Also I remember that at night the sound of the waves breaking off the beach was so loud, we were scared shitless and always certain that THAT is the tsunami that was gonna wash us away. :D

Hey, the prices of bananas vary in SL from place to place and by their type and the by the time of the year. From what I see, you have bought "embul kesel" (Sour banana). It is priced around 120lkr per kilo. But I have bought the same type 1kg per 60lkr last week at a local supermarket.

Once last year 2018, i stayed guesthouse in Negombo. Around 0200 am..dark night. I could not sleep and turned on the light all night. No AC room, then i saw hand opened window my room. I screamed !!! There is no proper way to eat Sri Lankan food.. but few tips Kiri bath is tasty with something spicy like the onion sambal (or a spicy chicken/beef curry) same with roti and hopper.. Hopper can be eaten with sugar inside it... or butter Pol roti can be eaten alone as a snack with tea.. when you eat a lot of kiri bath you will have a heavy head and will feel sleepy (like me)

If you still in Sri Lanka you can find a solution to your lip problem. 1) You can drink(සව්) sago coconut milk (cooked, can ask from local but sometimes they don't know the English word) 2) Stop eating tuna+prawns+crabs+cuttle fish+pine apple 3) Don't take a hot water bath and take cold shower every day AND you can go and meet Ayurveda doctor ( sri lanka traditional medicine) they have great medication for everything that will be fixed the problem forever.
