Well.. the true story is not in this highlight package. At least 13 lbw decisions went in the favour of Kaluwitharana alone. He was purposefully defending with his pads and the Lankan umps were cheating plainly. This is the same series where Kaluwitharana ran out Gilchrist without collecting the ball, but the third umps gave him out

The umpire is Legendary Sri Lankan umpire KT Francis. The official 12 player of Sri Lanka.. 1998 Independence Cup final between Sri Lanka and India played in Colombo.. KT Francis did everything to stop India from winning.. No LBW given.. Arvinda D Silva nicked to wicket keeper Nayan Mongia not given.. KT Francis was so frustrated tht he even complained to Azhar about Nayan Mongia appealing. In the match final moments KT Francis denied India run out appeal and refused to go third umpire. It was only after second umpire insistence he went to third umipre & India won the match.. Disgusting cheater umpire of the highest class.

There is video of his umpiring in which he is giving decision at his will.. England captain even threatened Rana for his shitty umpiring.. In 1978 Ind vs Pak final decider odi match India required 23 runs in 18 balls with 8 wickets remaining Umpires Khizer Hayat and Javed Akhtar stood unmoved when Pak bowled head high bouncers for continuous 3 balls.. Ind captain Bishen Singh Bedi fortified the match as for us dignity is more important than wining.. The venue Sahiwal never ever hosted an international match.. Such was the disgrace... Shame..
