Lovely and meaningful compilation. Railway is the lifeline of India and modernisation in a very large scale is going on. Starts with infrastructure like tracks and electrification. This has been an ongoing process. For e.g., I remember that in many areas we had Meter gauge lines and in the past two decades India has adopted a uni-gauge, i.e., Broad Gauge. This has tremendously improved connectivity across this huge country. Both freight and passenger trains benefit. Electrification saves a lot of Oil and Indian Railways has also adopted Solar power in sunny states like Rajasthan. For a country with such a large population, Railways continues to play great role! Hope Sri Lanka derives more from their association with Indian Railways.

Hey But T18 had been tested on 180KMPH And according to ICF,It can go upto 200KMPH. SriLankan Railways have a very long way to go. And Indian Govt. will help in every sector of our Srilankan friends... I think srilanka should think of importing T18 and T20.
