Its the name of the Lord, unchangeable.Rama appeared first in historical chronology, after Parashurama. After Rama the Lord appeared in the form of Krishna. Do not mess around with the holy name, even Valmiki was liberated by chanting Mara (Rama in reverse), I don't see why this controversy has arisen at all. Rama and Krishna are the names of one and the same person who takes birth again and again to clear our misconceptions.

For your info, all Vaishnava sampradayas present Hari as supreme and others as subordinate with relevant support. So then you should be upset with all of them then! Go read Ramanuja sampradaya works - that same point is there in heavy dose too! How much do you even know of Gaudiya siddhanta and how it gives the utmost respect to the various personalities? Have you not read Srila Rupa Goswami's conclusion in the Laghu Bhagavatamrta that all Vishnutattva forms such as Krishna and Rama are essentially one and non-different with the distinction only being made in the sense of rasa vichAra? Are you able to grasp even that much?

Various versions have existed from time immemorial. South or North is not the final arbitrator. You seem to forget that there are different versions and metres in vogue amongst various Vedic gotras in different parts of India from yore even for some Vedic mantras. Practically everything you say is based on hearsay or speculation.

He just sees them as positions to be considered. If you feel it's not for you, so be it. That choice is there. We have not gone around breaking anyone's temples. Saivites have always said Vishnu is subordinate to Shiva, and Vaishnavas have said vice-versa. And advaitins have diluted everything into some temporal conduit just for focusing on some formless, shapeless final being. This has happened for ages. So then, you should feel offended by everyone for their upsetting the other position, then!

Even gayathri is changed without swaras for uninitiated Ans: That's another subject altogether given the nature and rules pertaining to the Gayatri Mantra. But no one changes a mantra backwards and forwards and there is no mention of Mahaprabhu doing this in any of his authentic biographies. Thou shall not speculate.

Both versions have existed from the past. So why make one bogus and the other bonafide simply with a "you changed it" blame game without showing any axiomatic proof for that change? You need to prove the case that Hare Rama first is the only authentic version. That onus is on you, not me. I have said both exist. You say one is bogus. You have to show how and why! When both versions are extant, to show one is true and the other is not, needs solid evidence, not circular reasoning, sir!

What exactly is condemn? To simply present a position? Then from that viewpoint, to forcefully insist that everyone should see everything as equal is itself a position of condemnation of other options and the right to present that! You're doing that very same thing! We don't say Krishna is supreme. Krishna says that. Rama is second? Who said that? In what sense - are you even understanding? Ananta Samhita, Vayu Purana, Sanat Kumara Samhita - all these have Hare Krishna first. And if you say, Bengali Vaishnavas also changed these, it would not be difficult for me to say that the Southies did the same to an even earlier Hare Krishna first by replacing it with Hare Rama first because they were Rama-lovers. Interpolation can also be balanced with accusations of removing earlier versions! But what's the need for this blame game?

In what sense are they same and different - rasa sense not tattva. As for the others, that too depends on what ontological level something is being analysed. You call a deva a deva and Ishvara, ishvara and Parameshvara Parameshvara. If you mix them all up into one, that is called offensive to everyone! Out of all major Vedantins, only one prominent one says that all are same. The rest are primarily Vaishnavic and insist on Hari sarvothamatva. So they must all be offenders then!?

My version of Kalisantarana Up has Hare Krishna first. And Sanatkumara Samhita has it the same. So I can easily say Rama-favoured folks did the Rama first too. And the Ramanandis are known to have done such things. So, why should I take your KUp version as final? Bengalis did this? That's all you can give me as proof? Come on! You can do better than that! No end of argument. You don't even have one.

There is no such thing as sectarian except in the warped head of one who wishes to SECTARIANISE an essential conclusion. Seekers of truth never ever use such language in studying a presentation.
