1998 the golden year for Sachin Tendulkar Azhar as captain Azhar-Ajay partnerships Emergence of Robin singh Srinath on his peak Ganguly shining Every match india played that year we had believe on them, Even this match when india made 179 i remember ajay played a decent knock, i was confident that India will win.. Same with the Independence cup 3rd final at dhaka 18th January when Pakistan made 314 People believed India will win and they did, At cochin against Australia India was on a verge of defeat Sachin took those 5 wickets and India won, At Sharjah those two amazing knocks against Australia, Again at Sharjah against Zimbabwe in this series Olanga got sachin out then in the Final Sachin smashed Olanga and strang all over the park, Tony Greig's amazing commentary, Ajit agarkar's quick wickets and even his little cameos amazing

I'm badly missing the simplicity and sweetness of '90s TV, Hindi Cinema and Cricket. Those who have missed 1990s songs and cricket, have missed the Golden moments of life that'll perhaps never come again in our lives. But they can always be remembered and recalled every moment in future. Given an opportunity, I (and I'm sure many) other souls will even die to go back to the sweetest moments of our timeless '90s decade! Please come back, my sweetheart '90s !!! My love for the sweet childhood memories of '90s is best visible below - ▪Give me my sweetheart '90s decade back, and I'm ready to renounce everything, I REPEAT, EVERYTHING !!! ▪I may live without lots of money, fame, educational degrees, success, wife, anything. I may even perhaps live without my family and near and dear ones. But I just can't live without the sweetest childhood memories of my lovely '90s !!! ▪'90s is an indispensable and inseparable oxygen of my life !! ▪Long live, me and all; Long live, my sweetheart '90s !!! 🙏🙏🙏😙😚😚😄😄😄😊

@srashtasrivatsan9803
@srashtasrivatsan9803 3 жыл бұрын
I really liked Agarkar when he came onto the scene (like a lot of Indians back then did I guess). But I really doubt that he was underrated - he was basically an inconsistent bowler who would bowl one bad ball every over (almost like his fellow Mumbaikar Shardul Thakur) - which is just not good enough at the international level.Other than the odd match that he would suddenly win you (like Adelaide 2004) he was in general undependable. He had all round talent to which also he did very little justice - again being an undependable batsman with very odd good performance (Lords 2002). Prior to the current crop of Indian Fast Bowlers the only ones of note were Kapil Dev, Srinath and Zaheer. Shami Bumrah and even Bhuvi I would say have been a major improvement from the age of Agarkars on most counts especially consistency and dependability.

@SN-95
@SN-95 10 ай бұрын
@@srashtasrivatsan9803that was the thought process that ruined agarkar’s career. Coaches and people in general wanted every bowler to be consistent during those time. One very famous Indian coach of that time said that bowlers should have line length rather than speed. Thats the mentality which didn’t allow india to produce great fast bowlers. They couldn’t fathom the fact that agarkar was ahead of his times. He wasn’t a line length slow medium bowler like prasad. He was always striving for wickets… looking to take wickets and had an aggressive mentality towards bowling fast and take wickets. That used to cost him some runs but he always used to take those 2-3 wickets every match. If only coaches had shown confidence on him and used him as such. They had 4 other bowlers for consistency. They could use him as an aggressive wicket taking option. But alas that wasnt to be and we missed the services of a very good odi bowler. He is still the third highest wicket taker for india (288 wickets after srinath and kumble) in ODIs. Imagine that and where he could have been had he played as much as thise two greats. He could bowl in 140ks and used to have those little handy cameos more often than not. Had fastest odi 50 for india for quite some time before dravid (of all people 😂) broke that record. His strike rate of 27.13 is only below bhumrah (23.6) and chahal (27.09) which means he was better at wickets/runs conceded than few greats like zak srinath kumble and kapil himself. These greats gave more runs for every wicket than agarkar. He wasn’t utilized right.

This also marks the era of transition of dominance. In 96-97 SL used to win almost all matches against India. This was the time when matches started getting more and more interesting between the two. After this period India had upper hand.
