If scientists had signed something they must have something concrete to back it up. It is IISC not some normal institute. Respect your views on questioning and knowing everything. But you should also first talk to them to know why they are opposing.

Brother, being an alumni and a prospective student at IISc, I have a reason why people are opposing him. It's the sheer ignorance of the contents of Gurudev's talks. This hypocrisy is not built by IISc alone, it is an age old problem where Western science, however naive it is compared to Indian Science and Philosophy, is always blindly eulogized.

Not.sure why we should justify to few people always. When majority of this country go to temple before exam why so much justification is to be done to tell its scientific. I think people would have enjoyed a regular bhajan or sudarshan kriya. The attempt to explain to such a guy who anyway wont agree. Instead cater to majority who are believers. This is my view. Good point, Naveen. Guruji tends to make his talks based on his immediate audience, which, in this case, was IISc students and professors. So, he delved a bit deeper into scientific aspect of spirituality etc.
