I’m off 8. I just bought 4-PW these after hitting a set owned by a mate. Until then I had been playing Mizuno Hot Metals. I thought the Mizunos were the ants pants. Now I can’t believe I’d been making life so hard for myself. These Srixons are soft, forgiving, long without being stupid long (just had to rejig yardages by 5-10yds), and I’ve never felt so comfortable with a club in my hands. I always think mid irons are the litmus test of any set. Im absolutely clouting 4 and 5, clubs that in the past that have always made me feel vaguely nervous relative to the rest. In fact so well am I hitting 4 that I’m contemplating dropping a hybrid for a 2 or 3 driving iron. If that’s not comfort I don’t know what is. Highly recommended. My experience has been game changing.

I came upon a used set at PGA Superstore sporting Miyazaki shafts and Golf Pride jumbo grips. They looked barely used and I tried the 7 iron on the sim. First hit sold me. I took them out for a full outing yesterday and I have definately become a strong Srixon fan. What a great feeling club with proper distances. Mor importantly for my game is the hit where you aim.

I recently purchased the Z585's after hitting them compared to the Mizuno 919 forged, Titlelist AP-3's, P-790's. I hit these the best of all of them. They are certainly different from Ping i15's I had played for nearly 9-10 years. I was looking for more distance and a more forgiving iron. I honestly haven't gained much distance but they are forgiving. The weighting, especially in the toe has me hitting left of my old aiming point, which is what I was looking for.

Just purchased a full set 5-GW KBS $ Taper 120 shafts (fitted) coming from Ping i20 with CFS stiff shafts, and the difference is night and day. Much better flight, 10-15 yards consistent gain and they feel beautiful. Playing off 16 at the mo but hopefully these will get me down to single figures.....⛳️

Got fitted into the Z565 model last year. The fitting made a big difference with ball flight and trajectories. Love the set and the company. Srixon may be, top to bottom, the highest performing company in the last year or so. Clubs and balls, they stack up.

Just got fitted. These clubs produced the best numbers for me. Other clubs I tested where Taylor Made P790 Mizuno JPX919 Titleist AP3 (Second best results and feel was comparable but nowhere close to the Z585) Z585 was the 3rd iron I tested and right away even before Trackman delivered data, I knew I liked this iron. I tend to have a problem maintaining lag in my swing and hit the ball really high and my miss hits performed better than the other miss hits on the other clubs tested. So these clubs seem to work well for me.

I swapped my irons with a mate, he gave me his srixon z525 irons. He got my Taylor Mades. Anyway, I cannot get over the confidence these clubs have given me. Maybe it's the lighter shaft, maybe it's the length, maybe it's the head. Whatever it is they feel superb. They just go straight, they go a bit longer, they look lovely. I know the video is for z585, but can't find a video on z525. Oh, btw my mate is delighted with the swap too, he's been peppering the greens with the TaylorMades. So maybe swapping irons is the way to go??

I gamed Srixon for several years up until recently when I switched to Ping. Their clubs are outstanding and I think they're really underrated for the quality and performance they offer. Sadly, they just don't have widespread distribution at retail shops in the US. Very similar to Bridgestone in that regard. If you can get access to them then for sure try them out, as I think most would be surprised at the quality of the clubs.

Bought these just over one week ago. I love them. When I was thinking about changing I tried the SrixonZ585 against Mizuno JPX919 Hot Metal Pro and JPX919 Forged. I took them on the course and also tried them indoors against the launch monitor. I really, really wanted to like the Mizuno JPX919 forged (they are lovely irons) but the Srixons just stood out in terms of distance, accuracy and forgiveness. Got them at a bargain price too at this time of year.

It's funny if you look at the numbers they actually are more traditional lofts. Just a number/name of the club is changed. The 3 iron is a 2 iron from 30 years ago. And the AW is pretty much an old Pitching wedge. Nothing has changed (apart from pulling weight away from the face) but companies have strategically tricked us by simply changing the number on the bottom

I bought some Z545s off of a 2nd hand website, so I wasn’t fit for them. They are great clubs, in my estimation, for high- to mid-handicappers. The lofts may be too aggressive for some golfers. But Mark is correct, you do not see these anywhere in shops or stores, stateside too. I recommend them to anyone who peaks in my bag. The pros off the top of my head who game them are Shane Lowry and Russel Knox. Tough to compete with a DJ, Rory, Jordan, etc.

Always liked the look of srixon products but like you said they're never thrown in your face in shops like other companies are. They looked pretty. And your never usually overly convinced about numbers when it comes to "game improvment" clubs. Those numbers looked a decent compromise for improving golfers who want help but also want the looks and performance.

I am testing various models now to replace a stolen set. Tested Ping 500/700/i210, TM P790, Mizuno JPX 919 forged and others. I liked the Srixon Z 585 better than any of those. Then the store manager had me try the Callaway Rogue and I was blown away because my ball speed jumped about 4 mph. I don't like the Rogue offset or top line, but the results were just better. If you can explain this, please do. I am gong back this weekend as Wilson rep is having a demo day, and I will test their models, plus re-test the Srixon and Rogue to verify the numbers I was seeing. But for now, the Rogue ball speed was best by a significant margin.

I starting gaming the z565 a couple of years ago after a fitting with them including shaft. First time I liked an iron set and over the years have been through most makes including xxio, prgr and the usual ping, tm, callaway though not titleist. Recently as my game improves I was thinking about whether there was something out there that would give me even better feel and consistency and been through many tests from i500, aps, apex cf19s, jpx’s, p790/760 and more. Finally my conclusion is to stick with the z565 though I did try the z585 with a different shaft that felt even better but probably not worth the upgrade. Have not tried the 785 but hope to soon to see if that is the way to go. Must say value for money wise and looks wise too not much better out there even if less know though I have been familiar with Japanese clubs for many years having spent a lot of time in south east Asia. I also was fitted for the srixon hybrids though my driver and woods are titleists (ts3). Wedges is probably where I need to focus though I have the rtx 3 s with same shaft. Being left hander there was no gap wedge in the 565. Will see your review of the 785 for your insights.

I moved from Hogans to Srixxon irons and have to say they are just as good. I have no issue with stronger lofts, most sets dont come with a 3 iron anymore, so you just play the club for the distance. These look like another no fuss set.

@bryanlina47246 жыл бұрын
I would like to try their other Srixon iron(785?). Can't remember what you said at the beginning but love the look of the other ones. Do like seeing more GI irons that thinner and less offset. Hate the look of that style so wont even try one like that. If we can get the lofts "truer" too that would be great. Does the laser milling on these actually effect spin? They got good numbers and the wedges were zippy (haha) but is that a placebo effect?
