Hey Nick. I appreciate you not editing out those couple of mis hits. Not all golf info videos are honest like yours are. Tried the Srixon CX 5'S at a fitting a couple of years ago. They hit cleaner than any irons I had ever hit. Also tried Ping 425 G's, and they were good as well, but even though the fitter said the numbers were better, I did like the Srixons better. I went with his guidance and got the Pings, but I miss that Srixon feel. So I got a used Srixon 8 iron online and look forward to trying it this year. Your first try at an informative video on irons went well. You are easy to listen to and give great advice in an easy to understand way. Thanks!

Thank you so much for all the positive love for the channel. That means a lot. Don't feel too bad. It's not the first time this has happened and it won't be the last. I myself was duped a few years ago on fitting as well. It all depends on who the fitter is. Some of them are just trying to push that agenda

Thanks for doing what you do. I took your advice, dumped the Taylormades, the Kirkland's put in Srixons, callaway supersofts and saw 10 yards or more gained on all shots over the 9 holes I got to play today. Solid info being dropped on this channel!

I really appreciate this comment. It proves that what we're doing on the channel is all worth it. You would be surprised the amount of comments I have been getting lately of people telling me that "golf balls are all the same" or "it's the arrow not the Indian" We know through our data that this isn't true but I love hearing how it works for people. God bless my friend 😁

I have had the ZX5 for a couple of years. Love the look and feel of them. My yardages are right in line with what you got. As long as you know your stock yardages for each club you are good. Also when you do hit a bad shot you don't lose as much distance as you think you would, so I do attest they are forgiving. Love your reviews, keep up the good work.

I went from the cleveland cg7 tour black pearl irons in 09 to recently changing to the zx5. Was looking at the zx7 as it was more comparable to the cg7s but couldn't get over the sound, feel and weight of the zx5s. I felt like they were hotter off the face and actually lighter in the clubheads then the cg7. I ordered them with the TT dynamic gold shafts in stiff instead of the kbs tour lights that were on it and they still seem to fligh mid-high for me but so much easier to hit. Won't lie when I saw the zx5 on your page it cought me off guard but had my attention as we all look for confirmation in our purchases and decisions. It's interesting that you had a lot lower flight, just shows getting fitted for your swing is important. Not trying to advertise on your page for mine but I do plan on doing a review myself of them just trying to get ideas on how to set it up and collect thoughts.

I love my Zx5 mk2. They feel so nice and while they aren’t too chunky looking, they remain pretty forgiving. Their v sole is a game changer for me, helps me make great strikes regardless of the turf conditions

I was looking to buy another #3 hybrid, I have Cleveland’s older model. The Hy-wood seems interesting but I have not seen a review with an average golfer! If one comes your way, a review would be very cool!

Great to watch. Iron reviews with your honest assessment is great. Looking forward to to more review if you can get the clubs to test. With you always saying what you think, testing the more budget clubs would be of real interest. Nice start to club reviews.

Thanks, will do! We are on the path to have more reviews.

I bought a set of these last winter, based mainly on the fact that almost every shot launches the same, reaches the same peak height, goes about the same distance. They also have good angles of descent, which means they hold greens predictably. I don't care about distance, as long as it is predictable and consistent. These clubs help me to get lower scores, because I know what I am going to get out of them. It doesn't hurt that they look amazing, too.
@GolfBallAddict7 ай бұрын
Great take care. I 100% agree with everything you said. I love how consistent these clubs were. Regardless of how I swung everything seemed to have incredibly tiny dispersion. That type of accuracy is unheard of.

Interesting review! Still playing the PXG 0211 XCOR2’s 6-GW. Cleveland Hybrids 5,4,2, Cobra Fly Z Driver. Second set of Hogan Apex Edge 3-PW.

Nice! How do your pxg irons feel? I recently tested a 2-year-old pxg 0211 driver. Even though the driver did not get as much distance as my mizuno, I absolutely love the sound and feel of it.

I like the blended clubs you can do with Srixon. I know when I tested in the past I got some good numbers. Maybe if you had a proper shaft that fits you. However, I recently hit the Ping I530 and WOW! You should try those if you get a chance. Long, high, and straight.

I bought the ZX7s 5-PW last year. Just so good to play and my handicap has come down to a 3 from a 7. Any of the Srixon line is a no brainer to buy, especially for the price. If you aren't playing Mizunos, get Srixons.

What a coincidence I just got a set 3 weeks ago with C taper lite shafts. Solid irons. If they are fitted and the swing weight can be adjusted. Definitely won’t get as much distance as the hot metals. Also it’s a coincidence the 921 HMP are my old set.

1. Ball used? 2. Swing weights and total weights for each iron compared to Mizuno. 3. Verify if lengths are the same between sets. 4. Verify lengths graduated properly amongst the Srixons. Suspicious the 9i feels out of line... as a club builder, I would not swingweight the 7 & 9 to be different. Sounds like a build quality issue either in headweight variance or shaft length or both. I would demand better for $1000+.
@bsmith4u26 ай бұрын
Just purchased a blended set direct from Dunlop ZX7/ZX5 - 5-PW. blended at 7/8. Moving from Mizuno JPX. Irons came in a dead on standard lengths. With 80g graphite shafts all swing weights were C8 throughout the set. On lofts, two clubs were off by 1° from standard. 5 &7 irons were 1° strong and all others good.
