Sir thank you so much for this informative video. Well I own Yamaha YB 125 z. It has driven only upto 5,000 kms. The engine oil I'm using is company own made engine oil which is semi synthetic. Its name is #Yama_Lube_Oil and its grade is 10w-30. This oil had worked fine in winter season and upon Yamaha mechanic suggestion I'm still using it in summer season. But now I've realized engine's over heating issue repeatedly which has made me worried. Therefore I am asking for your professional opinion on it. Please take time to answer my query . One thing more I'm Muhajir and grand parents were from India. Love and Respect for India.

Use Motul 7100-10W40 or 10W50 Fully Synthetic Engine Oil and Add 50 ML Abro Oil Treatment . Heating and Smoothness and Milleage Will be the best.

Why use Abo oil treatment? Use 20W50 oil itself. The oil treatment just increases thickness of oil which can be done by using higher SAE grade oil itself. ABRO is useful only if you are using cheap recycled local oil that comes at 200 per liter. 50ml ABRO costs Rs50 and total cost for 1 liter comes to about 240 which is as good as Motul or Shell oil.

Wrong info. Use manufacturer recommended oil. Based on riding style use mineral, semi synthetic, or synthetic. I used semi synthetic in my both bikes. As I ride enthusiastic sometimes. But whenever I go for long ride or touring, I switch to synthetic oil. Never use anything less or more than manufacturer recommended. Company moving to thin oils not just for fuel economy also thin oils cools fast than thick oils. So it maintains engine temperature cooler than thick.

Arindam go for scooty / gearless engine oil only.. motorcycle engine oil has friction boosters added which helps in clutch engagement whereas the same is not needed in gearless/cvt.

Not recommended. Always stick with vehicle manufacturers recommend viscosity grade in your owners manual, this is because the engine head and piston ring clearance decides what grade and type of of oil has to go into it. While topping up with 10w50 or any grade won't make a drastic difference, (it's better to have any oil in engine rather than having below low mark which can damage engine without proper lubrication). Changing to lower grade will allow you to warm up the engine quickly, the thinner oil will help crank the bike easily but on negative side might seep through cylinder wall and burn in combustion chamber if you tend to keep using 10w50 so the oil level will keep going down very fast. Hence not recommended.
