This amp sounds pretty good with the 906. To my ears, it's a bit sweeter and more refined than the 338, but is leaner in the bass and lower mids, and maybe a bit less dynamic. In spite of that, I still like it, and the NAD sounds a little edgy on some tracks in comparison

I'm getting the feeling that E thinks the 806/906 work better with Class D amps. I think this pairing is the best sounding of the 806/906 but the CX700 with the 806 is also pretty good and not hugely different.

Looks like E is quite fond of Class D amps on these 906s 😊😊.I think this Peachtree Nova sounds better than the C338 on these speakers. I think that it's a clearer sound with more drive and it fills out the sound more. It's a bit of an oddity now though because it was designed to be used with an iOS device connected directly for streaming which seemed to work quite well by all accounts. It was quite liked by some reviewers. Apparently, they've got a new amp coming out shortly called the Carina, another 300W amp with built in DAC. Seems they are selling Bluesound devices for streaming these days. They reckon the new amp bests the old ones with its Hypex N-Core modules. Unfortunately, I've just noticed that there are now newer Hypex N-CoreX modules being put out by Hypex, so eat your hearts out if you're still running old tech !!😛😛 Aiyaah. Class D designs seem to be under continuous development which probably tells us something about Class D.

Another near draw for me tonight in the completely different but almost equal comparisons category. I think the Peachtree sounds pretty good with the 906s. I don't think the 906s sound better in some ways than they do with the C338. Smoother and more composed maybe, but less expressive in the midrange to me. Do I know these speakers can sound even better than they do with either of these? I do.

I'm still waiting to hear them with any of our favorite AB amps, a Yamaha, a Cambridge, or the Audiolab and Rotel, although the Rotel might be a bit too lean. I'd like to hear them with the Onkyo 9110 also, and maybe even the Marantz and NAD 316, which I think would just about cover all those that E has, except the Brio, Emotiva, and IotaVX, none of which I like as much as you do. Do you have any suggestions that I haven't mentioned already?

Both are quite hard to find in the US, and ATC are very expensive. He doesn't get gear sent to him like some YT reviewers. He buys everything with his own money

The F300 is on sale for $279, and the 301 for $379, but their least expensive dual-concentric design, the F500, is $1275!

For a class d amplifier this checks alot of boxes. Could have a bit better top end though.
