You seem like a great instructor. Wish I would of had someone like you when I was learning. Trusting your line is the key to work and feel comfortable when working on a tree.

How do you do your base tie? A video of that would be super helpful

I am working on a video with a base anchor but it is on a Ficus Tree.

A 20' Extension ladder is waaaaaaaay less expensive than a foot ascender, rope wrench, eye-n-eye sling, hitch climber pulley, and carabiner. Not to mention way more efficient.

I don't know about that if you're in the tree trade you more likely would have a prusik cord and a foot ascender is about 80 dollars. How much is a twenty foot extension ladder? What if the palm is 60 feet and the owner doesn't want holes in the trunk?

But this is training

Thank you for this video. I've been trying to figure out how to climb a coconut tree without spurs. This looks promising. Have you noticed any damage to the tree from the rope?
@BinoH5 жыл бұрын
No there is no damage to the palm tree. They are very strong.

Did you lift yourself up into and stand in the crown of the tree to cut the off side you couldn’t reach
@BinoH4 жыл бұрын
I was the first guy I just pulled my self to opposite side to cut what I couldn't reach but it is easier to stand in the canopy to reach all of it.
