SRTVlog 18: SRT Steering Wheel Swap

Hey guys in todays video I am swapping out my old Scatpack Steering wheel and putting in a new SRT steering wheel. This new flat bottom is so awesome and is a very welcome change to my car! Hope you guys enjoy!

That was obvious the horn and SRT light connector, not for the heated wheel. It went directly to the horn. Why would you think it was for the heat? You should have just used the harness from the old wheel.

When you put the steering wheel on, it looked like it didn't sit all the way onto the steering wheel shaft, watch the video around 13 minutes just before you put the bolt back in?

Yea I had to buy the airbag. You can always try your luck with cutting the cables but I’m not really good with that so I don’t recommend!

@@123antknee so the light went away after the second time I started the car. Also my mistake that cable wasn’t the heat for the wheel it was the horn.

Could have just took the airbag wires off the old steering wheel and put them onto the SRT steering wheel. Then you could have kept your other airbag.

Why not swap the harness to the SRT. And also you need to use a new bolt and properly torque that bolt.

You use a Impact Wrench to remove that big Allen Bolt.

I'm trying to swap my steering wheel airbag. However, when I used the hexagon to pop the left side latch...the right side keeps locking back in and vice versa Any advice?

You could have just disassembled the wiring harness off the old one and put it onto the SRT wheel....

Please torque to 63lbs of torque, Look into LED STEERING WHEEL or CARBON FIBER FLAT BOTTOM STEERING WHEEL.. GOOD CONTENT, MUCH LOVE AND RESPECT ✊

DO NOT USE A KNIFE to remove airbag connectors please!! Use a pocket Screwdriver. Don't be a hack please, use the correct tools.
