As I have said before most people have no clue as to how much work construction projects are and Video recording makes it even more challenging. I am very proud of you. Thanks for sharing

Good Sturdy foundation is where it all starts ! Then no turning back it coming along good :) You should of put insulation in your corners before you sheeted can't now , hopefully it don't condensate on you in winter, Going to be an awesome view " I'm just finished up with my roof , "green" 👍

They are called Lady bugs and are completely harmless. By the way, the freeze in the winter, then thaw, and live again, incredible huh!

It's great being able to build where you never get frost to heave the building around. Save a lot of digging down to below the frost line. Why would you use such wide floor joist support beams, only to 45 the ends, reducing it's width. May as well went with a smaller beam and saved some money

My guess is those thin concrete pavers you stacked as a foundation or whatever they are will crack and eventually erode away as the ground and cabin settles. There's a big difference in strength between a piece of let's say 8" solid block concrete versus stacking 4 pieces of 2" thick concrete to make 8". Best of luck to you , hope you don't have problems

In most soil situations you’d be correct with your concern. But looking at their soil it’s rock based. That ground is not going to settle or shift like regular ground would

@davesrvchannel4717 maybe you're right, maybe not but between the weight of a cabin and it's furnishings, heavy snow and frost you get in the rockies I definitely wouldn't chance it. Heck I wouldn't even build a shed on stacked up paver blocks , but that's just me. Best to you and the uploaders

@@JH-jd8ip Hey JH, the local supply there only had 2" pavers. The rules for this build were - 120sqft (or less), and it must be on skids + pavers. I prefer pier + beam as it's a lot easier to level, and it's strong. The cabin has been sitting for a year now, but I'll be heading up soon. We'll see how it held up so far. Thanks for watching!
