My BD is today, the Feast of St. Jude. My mother, may she be with the Lord, always told me that it was Divine Providence and fitting for me to be born on the feast of the Saint of impossible cases. 🙏🏻♥️🤣😂

I heard that the Church made St Jude the patron of Impossible Causes to try and encourage more faithful to invoke him. There may have been, at first, an irrational fear to do so because of his original name being associated with Judas the betrayer. Either way, I am grateful, and have invoked him in many impossible situations.

St. Simeon ( feastday: feb. 18, Lives of the Saints from Fr. Alban Butler),,brother to St. James the less and St. Jude succeeded St. James the less after he's martyred in 62 AD as bishop of Jerusalem. St. Simon the zealot, on the other hand was a simple Galilean called by Our Lord to be one of His apostles. He and St. Jude were martyred together in Persia. That's why they share the same feastday.

Correction needed for the video it seems. The narrator misspoke, confused the images of Saint Jude and Saint Simeon and who holds what in the graphic depictions. You said Saint Jude was sawn in 1/2 and therefore he's the one holding the saw in the stained glass. Not Saint Simeon. I'm trying to keep it straight for myself.. Thank you.

Sorry, Father. You are slightly mistaken. St's Jude and James, the lesser, were brothers and Apostles of Jesus and did have another brother called Simon. Tha Apostle Simon Zealot was not related to St Jude. Otherwise, your information was interesting. God bless your work. If we both reach Heaven, we can meet up and ask Saints Jude and Simon the correct who is who!
