its sad because they are SUPPOSED to have an override on the fire alarm, right clicking it is meant to disable the firelock closing for the next 30 seconds or so, but it never works

On goon you can use wirecutters to disable fire alarms, that should definitely be a thing in other codebases if it isn't already.

@@aperturescienceguy2737 you can do that on tg codebase as well, the real issue is that without a fire alarm in the area the firedoors are in, they will default to being their own alarm (ie, checking the tile next to it for bad air and if so, it will close anyway) .... there is a codebase, i forgot which, in which anyone with atmos access hits the fire door with their ID will disable it closing entirely for a couple minutes. on TG right clicking a fire alarm is supposed to do this but for a shorter duration but ive never seen it actually work right

they actually do normally attack anyone nearby automatically, the real issue here was there was so many of them close by. AI tends to slow down when theres too many of em as they all try to path around each other

the goliaths are tamed by feeding them lavaland plants, then make a saddle with 5 leather and a lasso with 5 sinew, put a saddle on him and if you have a lasso in your hand you can ride him

But . . . but you were chaplain, you can ALREADY make ANY carp friendly to you via the carp sie null rod, you didn't need to make any of the plushy carps friendly to you if you just hug the carp sie null rod, it changes your factoin to the carp factoin, even wild carp won't attack you.

carpsie null rod doesnt make them follow your commands, wild carp are not actually tamed, and unhugged plushies are also untamed, sure they wont attack you, but they wont follow commands either
