Err have u tried chicken rice prepared by foreigners. Taste like crap. Also had some of the worst Chinese food prepared by old people. Its a hit and miss, no guarantees. I remember all the good places though😅.

We only go to Jalan Alor for “Wong Ah Wah” bbq chicken wings. For proper Chinese food, we go to hawker centre like this or Chinese restaurants.

Too bad u din go for the penang char kuey tiaw, fried lo bak kou and fried oyster egg. Those r delicious over there. When eating fried stuff tried with drinks like teh tarik or ice milo kau or ice kopi. Great combination. 😊

The price of the food in SS 2 is way much cheaper than those in Jln Alor, so should spend more here than in Jln Alor, cheers to KO & MI! I think you should enjoy the food in Pasar Malam Cheras, go there please!

Yee MEE and hokkien Mee is a must. Malaysians will go to specific restaurants that specialized in these two noodles dishes. Jalan Alor is for tourist selling at tourist prices.

Thank goodness you ordered S size haha, for these types of stall the L size is meant for families to share, the portion is likely enough for 5 people or more That is why the S size Sweet n Sour pork is that much, it is meant to be a dish among many for families.

That was regular size.. Next time sharing was the best choice if you cant handle spicy, ask for no spicy so they will customize it for you.. But if you trying to.. within a year or less you can handle spicy and will miss it, later.

You guys should have ordered the Lin Chi Kang drink at the same stall that you bought your apple juice. It's a very refreshing drink, and goes well with street foods. And yes, SS2 is a nice foodcourt that sells mainly Chinese varieties of dishes!😂👌

You should try salted egg squid (doting) or chicken or pork. Delicious. Another is the dry butter dish with pork or chicken or Prawns. Since Japanese love steam eggs, try the Chinese version. Very smooth. Just ask for normal egg and salted egg combination. Otherwise most times they also add in century egg. The beef with ginger and spring pinion is also very nice. All these go with white rice

On what to order in this local food court, look at what people are eating at other tables. This will give you an idea of what some of the local dishes look like, to figure out if you also want to give it a try. Malaysian Chinese Char Kway Teow fried over charcoal flame is the best, and most authentic. Don't take advise from Chonmage Japan on the best Char Kway Teow ...those guys seem to give good reviews for everything that looks like Char Kway Teow just to get attention to their vlogs. The most honest food review is at AYA channel in Malaysia by this Japanese lady who has lived in Malaysia for 7+ years. She recently went to Section 17 in Petaling Jaya & per her review, this "dancing" chef cooks the best Char Kway Teow. Check her vlog on this.
