there is one question i have for this: why is this a big thing? it's just a quick way to get a hit on the opponent without much ending lag, I don't get the importance

Sure thing! We actually talk about the applications in a bit more detail on Shulk 101 MALLC page here: shulk101.com/tutorial/mallc The basic idea is to use MALLC for one of three applications: 1. Creating safe pressure 2. Extending combo (requires on-hit MALLC) 3. Escaping disadvantaged state Hopefully that and the website gives you a bit of a better idea!

Well that's a ton of stuff, again an impressive display of the Shulk community's hivemind. Those are great references, but I see them more like stepping stones until you learn or "feel" the timing between the moment you press B and the art activation so you can do it from whatever height to another. Which I definitely haven't yet lol.

This tech is the key. The key for people to realize that shulk isn't a bad character. If someone masters this tech and uses it to it's fullest potential it is very possible the amount of shulk players, and his spot on the tier list can rise

I'm really feeling this.👌🏽 10/10 well done incorporating platforms, it would seem inconvenient to mallc on battlefield or any stage with platforms in general, but shulk's reach is far too useful for tech chases.

I mallc a lot when I play but I never really use set ups I just get used to his movement speed and his art timing, I can see how this would work for a lot of people though and the quality of this video is great.

Would just like to chime in that on Battlefield, running off the edge of the middle platforms, then immediately jumping and inputting Jump art will give you a perfect MALLC if you land on the top platform.

I did a MALLC Bair with the Buster Art from the respawn platform after the jump, it was at Magicant, then I converted it into a Fsmash

wow very nice guide!!!! What would interest me, is the "delay" of an evarage fair, nair, bair on hit. If it's inbetween 4-6 frames, we could concentrate on doing average mallcs on shield (5 frames) whitch would result in perfect mallcs (on hit for this example). Also concidering, tht we could catch up the "delay" by fastfalling as soon as u see, tht u hit the opponent and not his shield! very nice guide, looking forward to your future contents : > so is this channel u and paradigm focusing on the shulk meta?

Nice information video, but in the end it all consists in timing the activation relative to the spot where you want to land. Most of the times you are going to get hit in the air, or recovering, or escaping a combo, and you just want to MALLC to punish the opponent. It's not something that you can menorize case-by-case, just practice with the timing of the activation and you will be able to MALLC every time. I don't follow visual references to MALLC, i know the timing and most of the times I get what I want, still it's a pretty inconsistent technique in my opinion. -side note: this doesn't raise shulk in the tierlist, he's mid-low, and his frame data remains what it is.

I'm surprised the Perfect Short Hop MALLC isn't perfect in "practicality". It works with any aerial? Besides it's difficulty, what about it is not perfectly practical?

Does a perfect MALLC make Shulk's landing lag equal to Cloud's? I've heard a lot of people complain that Cloud's aerials have Shulk-like range but with less lag. Does this bring Shulk equal to or near Cloud in terms of aerial landing lag?

Perfect mallc has 0 frames of landing lag, and imperfect but still good mallcs are better than cloud in almost every case

Yes sir! Though Kirby doesn't typically have a landing lag problem :p So it's not as useful for Kirby as it is for Shulk, imo

Didn't have trouble hearing your voice, but a couple times it did trail off a little bit. Quiet but still clear and audible enough. But yea the music could be reduced by 10% in volume, but it wasn't too loud. Or just be more consistent with your speaking volume.
