Munzu Just because fox is better doesn't mean you can just run around doing "fox stuff" like everyone says. Just because falcon isnt a great character doesnt mean you should keep mu knowledge away from better characters. The chances of a fox player not knowing the falcon matchup are way higher than the other way around.

For anyone upset that we helped out a higher-tier character: I believe that player skill matters much more than any characters abilities until you get to like S2J/Ice level. Also we will be doing the reverse of all these matchups, but remember you can always use these to learn it from the other side as well! You can see what the other character will go for and it'll be easier to work around it. And I apologize for my previous comment- lack of sleep and hunger johns >.

Fellow Falcon mains: This video does help you. First of all, use your knowledge of Fox's goals to find ways to deny him. Kira outlined our basics and the counters that Fox might go for. Don't let Fox have his way for free. Second, do you really just want to beat players that didn't know this stuff and auto lose to any better players? Now your opponents can actually help you get better. The best Falcons in the matchup practice against the best Foxes.

Not gonna lie, unpopular opinion here, I love Hax$'s fox. Hax's fox on point is my favorite fox to watch ever. Hax's falcon was also amazing, and probably was my favorite falcon too, but god damn I love watching him play fox. Gotta pick the fox dude.

I think Marth vs Falcon would be an interesting video. i see a lot of Marths say that they believe its a winning MU for Falcon. I am a Marth player myself, and I think i have a decent grasp of the MU, but I think there are still some important things that could be explained. Just a thought. Both Hax's fox and falcon are legendary imo, but as a Fox player myself, I'd have to say his Fox just because of his godly tech skill. Also, really good video, there's a certain falcon player at my locals that gives me a hard time. Definitely gonna study this and get better in the MU.

Wanted to point out at 0:33 isn't true. Falcon can place any aerial in between those two distances with Analog jumping. It's rough at first, but with practice it isn't much harder than angling with a Firefox.

I disagree. On the surface his fox is the greatest of all time, but when you realize that there's more to melee than pressing buttons you realize that Mango, armada, and leffen's foxes are all much smarter and better to learn from

CP Adagio To be honest, he has a very calculated and aggressive playstyle. He's basically Leffen mixed with Westballz. He very directly uses his ability to manipulate his own character for quick and complex mindgames that not many other foxes do. I respect your opinion, but this is my counter argument. I'm not starting a flamewar by accident like I did in the "how to counter Sheik" video. XD

Although Hax's fox is extremely interesting, the fact that we've seen so little of his play in this current meta full of intelligent players makes it difficult for me to place him in the ideal spot

Hax's Fox is cool and all, but will we ever see those crisp Falcon zero to death's on the same level as his? No, we won't. His Falcon is more remarkable than his Fox by a long-shot because he pushed the character to his limit and maximized his punish game with Captain Falcon. Sometimes you couldn't tell if his next hit would lead to a KO. I think that was something pretty special, honestly. It's a shame we won't see that any more.

Hax's Fox. It's really close, considering his Falcon (IMO) is the balance between the optimization of Wizzy/Gahtzu and the excitement of S2J/n0ne. But his Fox is so aggro and different from every other Fox.

unfortunately he isn't back, he needs to get a tendon removed but no doctors with in his insurance are willing to do the operation, according to hax his day to day life is painful in general now because of his hand

That sucks. I have carpal tunnel too. I stopped playing entirely. I play very seldom so cant keep up with the new gameplay. But it is always interesting to watch the new kids, they are pretty dog on good. As for me. Well I've turned mt attention to other things. Tell hax to drink anti oxidants. High alkaline water that has anti oxidants which is made when filtered thru a special filter will help if not treat it entirely. I'm in the process of buying a water filter.. they go for several grand.. 2k$ and up for good ones. But they are worth it. My carpal tunnel symptoms have gone wayyyy down and I can play longer. But the symptoms do come back. I don't have a filter though so I have to go to a friend who lets me take 9 gallons at a time. I have 2 left. Started about 2 maybe 3 weeks ago. Can't wait to have my own and be carpal tunnel free.

Most people put the character's name from which they are talking about the matchup first in the phrase. If you call it the Fox vs shiek matchup, your talking about fox's matchup, and vice versa.
