I appreciate that you're making content for Lucina 6 years into the game when her meta is basically dead. I definitely have some major disagreements (mostly on dolphin slash I think its her top 1 move), but this is definitely one of the better lists I've seen. Looking forward to seeing more stuff

@aann I think of it as "what tool fundamentally changes every matchup she has" and dolphin slash is always my answer. Frame 1 escape, one of her best kill moves, can edgeguard even if they tech it, and a top 3 OOS option in the game. I think other characters have to respect her so much on shield because of it and its relatively high kill power, on top of making otherwise true combos punishes

As a mediocre player who plays some Lucina and mostly mains Palu, I loved how you called counter a drug. When I absolutely sucked at this game (now I only kinda suck) I used to use counter almost all the time when playing against my friends (who also sucked) and counter was probably my best move. I felt like a psychic reading everything. Then we all started learning and my counters were now being read, and the special was doing more damage to me than what it actually helped me, and the worst part is that since I was so used to rely on it, that it took some effort to actually stop my habit of countering all the time. Now I've been almost counter-clean for about 2 years.

Especially the top 3. They do things objectively better than EVERYONE else. Once you start moving down the tier list, you can start seeing this a lot more in action Min is a very good example of this. Due to her neutral being very dominant, and in my opinion, one of the best neutrals in the game because it's basically her neutron and advantage are the same thing you can start making comparisons Take your character & compare it to a top tier and see what you get For me I play Greninja, natural comparison is Fox Gren has: good movement, great frame traps, good combo extensions, flexible recovery, top 10(?) In every movement stat in the game, decent neutral, poor disadvantage Fox: fastest fall speed, top 3 in dash, unreactable short hop fastfalls, arguable top 5 advantages in the game, great wiff punishing, great neutral, BAD disadvantage Greninja does things slightly better than fox. So why would you play Greninja when you could play Fox? A character does almost everything better than your own

I subscribed because you talk about Lucina. I think it's interesting to rank Lucina's moves because I can agree that dash attack is her worst move and that Nair is her best move, but I wouldn't consider her Nair to be one of the best moves in the game, or her dash attack to be one of the worst moves. A lot of her moves just work really well with her kit. Like in the case of Nair, it is good but not amazing in neutral but she can use it so effectively for edgeguarding because of her floatiness and because she has dolphin slash to quickly and vertically recover back to ledge

F-smash, boosted f-tilt, up-b, back air. The four horseman of the apocalypse imo. Pretty much all her moves are really good though.

Lucina's nair is definitely a fun one to use. Sometimes I spam it more than Ike and it works out in my low level gameplay.

Agreed for the most part. Only 1 I disagreed with is Up Smash. Imo that competes with dash attack for our worst move. Always enjoy your videos, thanks!

Wait AE | blank isn't a aegis main normally? I see her in the aegis cord all the time Anyway cool video, i'm not a fan of nair being #1 since my interpretation of a good move is "if you delete the move, how much the character is nerfed?" and deleting nair is not as much as a nerf as deleting down tilt or back air. I don't really have much to say to the rest of the list though

I'm surprised you didn't mention that back air turns you around, since that means 1) you (probably) only have one shot at a back air per jump so no going of stage and bair'ing twice to catch different options, but 2) that means it /does/ lead into fair, and the early hit of nair. I'm not a Lucina main so I don't know when you might want bair -> fair or bair -> nair. Is there anything notable?
