SSBU - Young Link Combos

Some of these are pretty weight/damage percent/size dependant, and directional influence can possibly make or break these, but for the most part these are true combos.
I might make a short vid at some point about Young Link's bomb short hop technique, which is used a bit in this video / y_links_bomb_short_hop...

Every end of a combo ends in a critical hit (extra damage!) where the ladle breaks and he pulls a new one out of nowhere

this is gonna be Breath of the Wild stuff all over again *3 months later* "so what you want to do is to double jump and drop a bomb at the apex while holding down the shield button to evade to the left. This stores a skewer to perform a triple jump for your next move."

I’ve been labbing Young link like crazy and I’ve found that fast falling into the second hit of bair (this needs to be well spaced) -> grab -> up throw -> uair/up special is a good reliable combo simply because it only relies on getting 1 easy hit off and bair has like zero landing lag, this combos does around 35% and second hit of bair has fixed knock back so this combo works into the late 90’s. I think the most important things tho are kill confirms and for this character I’ve found the best kill confirms to be: - Bomb to short hop fair - Boomerang to short hop fair - Down tilt to full/short hop fair (depending on percent) - fast fall to second hit of bair - short dash - to up smash(is it called wave dashing in this game or like...dash dancing, idk) All these kill around 115-120% and are easy enough to pull off. I’m nearly certain all combos listed are true(they don’t reset the counter in training), I’ve never had anyone escape from them but if you don’t believe me test them for yourself, I’ve never had someone DI out but you never know.

I have a nice combo I like to use online, and it involves some pretty quick inputs, but you can get two boomerang hits in a row and pogo off it with Dair and immediately follow up the last Dair with an Up Air to either kill or have dealt a lot of damage.

I like how, being a breath of the wild extraordinaire, you gravitate towards Link. I guess Nintendo did a good job of really giving the Links that feeling of their origin games.

Short hop b-air can combo into a lot of stuff at low percents because of its low lag. Short hop b-air into up-air works if you keep moving into the direction of the opponent, which can then combo into more stuff. Another combo is just short hop b-air into neutral-B.

I'm a new subcriber, just now have found your channel, and wow your awesome with Link in this and BOW. I wanted to say thank you and your great, I'm still working on timing a little in BOW, and your tricks have worked so much in Master mode, I almost beat a golden Lynel heavy mace without getting hit, Ill get their with a little more practice. Ive pretty much nailed alot of your combos from smash Bros, except for a few, been with smash Bros almost as long as Zelda, first one was in 64. Shakey shorthops are much easier in this game actually just hit jump and attack at the same time sakurai programmed a short hop without doing it the old school way. I do Y+A at the same time on GameCube controller

Shakey any direction with the combo shorthop works. With the bomb, do down Y+A at the same time it becomes a bomb shorthop
