Tabletop disk sander with small motor

This is a video of a home-made small disk sander for woodworking using a motor.
It uses a 775 motor.
Horizontal and vertical angles are adjustable.
The motor runninng on 12V3A.
A regulated power supply is used for power.
The rotation speed is 3300 rpm, but the torque is a little insufficient for processing hard wood.
The gear ratio is 3.75:1. (reduction gear).
We do not sell drawings of this work.
We are unable to answer questions about the purchase of hardware required for production as it depends on each country.

コンパクトで軽そうだし、とてもいいですね。参考にさせていただいてこれから製作予定です。モーターはミシン用で？ ベアリングの台座が二つある割に円盤の振れがあるようです。モーターを逆向きにプーリーを外側に付けて、 土台の幅を20~30ｍｍ広くして台座を円盤ギリギリまで移動してフライホイール機能を持たせるために円盤を分厚く重く そして最終にバランスウエイトなどの利用で回転バランスを調整してやるともっと良くなると思いました。 それに、作業台を２点支持ではなく４点支持にしようと思ってます。 粉塵の吸い取り方法も　裏面側より表面側が良いでしょう。 いろいろ注文付けてすみません！ごめんなさい。　でも、とても参考になりました。ありがとうございます。

Beautifully done, but I see that when you apply too much pressure, the rolling disk tends to wobble. Hence you need to gently push whatever you wish to sand.

The sander disc should be made from solid wood plank. Not from chipboard.

サンドペーパーホイールの直径が大きすぎるため、ポイントが弱くなります。 サンドペーパーホイールの直径を大きくするには、スピンドルを大きく（16mm）、ホイールを厚くする必要があります。

Very cute! I'd replace the DC motor with a small AC motor for more power and no need for as power supply. Also, add dust collection. The maker was constantly using a small vacuum hose so just cut a hole to fit the vacuum hose in the housing.

毎回たいへん興味深く拝見させていただいております。 どれもアイデアが素晴らしく大いに参考になります。 MDF材は安価で使い易い材ですが、やはり木口への木ネジ止めは割れが出るんですよね。 接着剤だけか、あるいは木ネジの代わりに釘を打つか、さもなければベニヤ合板を使うほうが良いのかもしれません。

I would maybe have placed one of the bearings holding the axel on the other side of the large timing belt gear. Seems like quite a reach from the front of the disc to the first support bearing. Other than that, love the build. I literally have these components laying around waiting to be assembled like this. I've been hesitant since I didn't know if my motor could handle it. It's some unspecced 24VDC, might have to change it out later.

08:44 11:32 Видны существенные косяки (ошибки). Расслоение материала. Перед тем как вкручивать саморезы в столь тем более мягкий МДФ материал, нужно сначала делать соответствующее отверстие. И не будет такого расщепления и в дальнейшем разрушении всего устройства. Не ошибается тот, кто вообще ни чего не делает. Идея весьма стоящая. Кому двигун слабоват, может шкивы подобрать или поставить двигун от старого миксера-блендера и за одно регулировать скорость вращения .

精度高く加工組立が出来ていて凄いです！ 過去動画の電気ドリルを使ったディスクサンダーでも同じようにディスクが上に回転する側で削ってますが、これは集塵口位置の関係の為でしょうか？ 上に回転する側だと材料が上に跳ね上がって危険な為、下に回転する側で削るのが定番になっているので少し気になりました。

気づかれてしまいましたね笑 撮影の都合です。左手前側にカメラが固定されているため、カメラの向きにサンダーを向けると机の奥が下に回転する側になるためです。 (一番最初のシーンのみカメラを外して三脚で撮影しました。) ただ過去動画のときは単純に知識がなかったため間違っていました。

良い物だと思いましたが一点だけ、 紙やすりを取り付ける平面のブレが気になりました。 金属製のシャフトホルダーの精度（直角度）が原因かな？とも思いますが、 紙やすりを取り付ける前に回転させて平面を出したほうがいいのかも・・

Might have been even safer & more robust if you had used nuts & bolts -vs- wood screws 6:30 for the bearing mounts. Better to know that that 'spinning wooden disk' next to your face (that could easily injure you) is not going anywhere. I liked the video...Thumbs Up!

First of all: Great work! I like it. I am glad that YT showed me your video and because your other videos seem to be interesting, too, I subscribed to your channel. But there are a number of points that I would like you to have a look at it: The first point is safety. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO KEEP YOUR EXTREMITIES (like your fingers) OUT OF HARMS WAY!!! At 10:18 your fingers are way too close to the router bit!!! If the blade of the router bit gets hooked into the work piece it will throw it away and having nothing in between anymore, your fingers might glide into the spinning router bit. The rule is to keep your body away of fast turning parts by at least a hand´s breadth. Use push sticks or such if you would have to go any closer. Also at 10:18: When you look at the router bit from the top, it spins counter clockwise. Therefore one should push the workpiece from the right to the left, because if a blade of the router bit catches the workpiece it will pull it against itself (or the fence if there were one). If you push the workpiece from the left to the right and the blade catches, it will try to throw the workpiece away. That is exactly the moment where you DO NOT WANT TO HAVE YOUR FINGERS CLOSE TO THE ROUTER BIT!!! Although I have to admit that you work with MDF which has no grain in it and therefore the chances of a blade catching the workpiece are lower than with plywood or massive wood. Nevertheless: Make it a habit to keep your extremities at a safe distance to fast turning parts. Next point: At 19:30 it seems like you are using the wrong side of the disk sander. You are using the side that moves up. This will tend to pull your work piece up and maybe also out of your grip (as one can see in your video). Use the other side. I guess it was easier for the camera angle but as a KZbinr you are also a role model for the unexperienced viewers, so please try to show them the correct way of using the tools you build. Next point: I would have used velcro to mount the sandpaper to the disk sander. It makes it easier to exchange the sandpaper once it gets dull. Also: I would have built in a dedicated power supply. Always fiddling around with the two wires would be annoying to me after some time… 🤪 Looking forward to seeing more videos from you! Thx 4 sharing. Greetings from Switzerland 🇨🇭

Very good work! And very complex as well. But: that material is weak, plywood would be much more appropriate ; benefit of having that sander is much, much smaller than the trouble of making it(though, that's not important) ;nobody can have several parts that you installed, but you. Otherwise, good work. 😊
