Against some crouching characters Makoto apears behind after doing a FADC on oroshi or st hk. It happens because they changed the hitbox on Makoto dash. VRyu noted this on his video Makoto AE 2012 or something like that.

The result of this FT 5 is kinda normal. This year at the WGC 2012 I was supposed to fight V-Ryu according the first draw, but the a second draw made me play against Ladnopokaa. It was a best of 3 and I only lost 2-1 and I had won the 1st set easily. But curious to know how V-Ryu's Makoto was, I asked him to play a Bo3 freeplay and the difference between these two player was like phenomenal. I didnt even exist against V-Ryu and matchup had nothing to do with it... but GG to both players :)

Had to rewind at 5:34 I blinked and was confused. That is a crazy mixup against cody. Two of my fav characters going at it. Both are such patient then explosive then patient type characters. If either char gets any momentum going you're going to have a hard time. Makoto is weaker on defense but stronger on offense than Cody. Cody has a more complete "package" in terms of toolset imo.

Great matches, but I saw that this Cody doesn't really use much of anti-airs. He could've done more anti-air from b.mp and etc. Still a great Cody, and awesome match, Yoga!

I think the reason that Makoto is so good here is that Cody does not have any amazing responses to Makotos relentless and semi-random pressure, other than ultra maybe. Makoto in general is one of those characters that if you get him/her going, they are almost impossible to stop, and that is displayed very obviously here. On top of that, the Makoto player is one of the best (in your book, Yoga), and he/she has tons of experience. So I don't think the cody player had much of a chance, really D:

If cody hadn't abused the Bad Spray so often I think he would have won at least a few more rounds. He was getting read like mad. I always save that for last resort, along with purposely not teching when I hit the ground. It really throws off rush down characters rhythms when one time you get up and immediately attack, then others you stay down and defend. Throw in the occasional bad spray and they don't know how to approach you. Turn the beat back!
