Issa bout time you reacted to this. The difference between Vegeta and the others, is that the others are ignorant of it, so to them, it's just another strong being they have to fight. Vegeta knows the story behind the Legendary Super Saiyan, so there's the psychological issue of knowing exactly what they're dealing with, and what kind of danger they're in, just like with Beerus.

The way they beat him is because broly had so much ki that he was pretty much a ticking time bomb thats why he was always doing those ki blast or explosive waves cause if he didnt he would self destruct and by gettin ki from everyone else including himself he was able to transfer that much ki plus brolys ki in his body which is why he "died" the way he did in the movie if look back at it again
