It’s not dumb if you think about it. Goku’s crying is what led King Vegeta to him, and his high power level. This led to him being stabbed. When Broly hears Goku he gets ptsd of being stabbed. Legendary Super Saiyan has ptsd. Totally not dangerous

The only people who misunderstand why Broli hates Goku are the people who never watched/read Dragonball, and don't understand the basics of Ki. Long story short, Goku has Ki that overcomes, that is based on his will. Since Broli was already sensitive to Ki as a child he was overcome by Goku's will, which Goku didn't yet have an outlet for. This would be like torture for him. Imagine your soul constantly being buffeted by gale force winds right next to you.
