That last game was some God level control by Life to push back the 1st big push at the 4th. Definitely a game to rewatch as Zergs to study how to control your army. It really showed how tough it is to win from behind in ZvT. I would have liked to see some burrow baneling play from Life like Leenock uses in proleague. He clearly has the apm to pull it off.

While I do agree that widow mines are bad for overall game balance. They are not 0 APM units, you need to spread them just like marines and burrow/unborrow and spread again and again each time you stutterstep forward with your bio. Banelings are way more braindead untis then widow mines. And Mutalisks with their ultrafast hp regen out of combat are pretty broken aswell, they can easy absorb some thor or turret shots and survive with 10% hp only to be full hp again a couple of seconds later, where as in WoL, thor shots or templar storm was more devastating. Not even to start about their stupidly fast movement speed. The little micro a zerg requires is to not have their banelings explode on a single marauder or thor and they will always trade cost efficient.

I honestly have a serious personal hatred for Widow Mines (WM) but, I have to say I think Dark's Corruptor/Baneling/Zergling build against this blind WM production do ease the pain of large encounters like the ones life lost at the end of this game. Anyway, amazing series, Innovation is a great player and Life, I believe, lost because he did not prevent the second Hellbat push by Innovation in the third game. GG, Inno.

building hatch ftk is not necessarily taunting. vs the strongest opponents, you do that to lock them in just in case they survive, then pressure in with towers and respawning or nydus reinforcements right there

No this is definitely a form of "trash talk". Manner mules, hatches, and nexus are all used when the win is secured and the opponent isn't leaving yet. No pro player builds manner hatches and spines to secure a win, that's dumb.

***** we have some ppl who do it as a show of definite win so they leave bc some ppl like to try and hold out to the end. i was bw pro. no real pro does moves just to taunt. with that attitude, they'll be unseated before long. efficiency and no mercy is how to consistently stay at the top. all the pubs try to copy net slang and say "manner this, manner that". really doesn't matter. rank and league speaks volumes. most of the pros i played with talked very normal. though some were arrogant, understandably so, the very best were not, just solidly confident, no bs.

I feel like the best players are a bit lackluster compared to the golden age of BW. The level of skill involved with players such as SlayerZ`BoXeR` and Bisu and Stork and Jaedong and many others seemed a bit better. Then again, maybe it's just the nature of SC2 itself that makes it seem that way.

Will Scharnagl eh... banes have a lot of strengths. They can burrow, theyre fast as hell when upgraded, and you can tell them what to shoot. Widow mines can be nullified for the cost of a zergling or for free with range, and one overseer makes them nearly useless if you do it right. They show their strength in a+move situations.... so don't a-move as much :)

This is just stupid. Life is probably best zerg in world, and even he can only try to defend against terran. Balance itself is still not so bad after all, but I dont personally like the idea how zerg can only try to defend and survive somehow.

How do you figure? Zerg could attack just the same on 2-3 bases but since the units don't trade that well it becomes a much bigger micro gamble so the game plan for most zerg players is to have more bases and overwhelm the opponent / outlast their income. It's just a strategy not balance - if you want to complain about balance PvZ is the real problem.

Matthias Olmutz Totally agree. I guess balance isn't a problem, but ZvT is so frustrating. The zerg player can't trade well without much much better strategy and positioning. Sure the Terran has to have good micro skills and have greats splits, but it just strikes me as really cheap and weird. 30 min in the core unit for Terran is still a 50mineral T1 unit. Just silly. SC2 has been really really dumb in that regard since launch.

I really don't feel respect for Innovation. He only won because of blind mass production of Widow Mines. Life made some crazy micro tricks against zero (0) APM cheapo unit like WM, but in the end it's very difficult to win all engagements. And if a PRO player can't stabilize some kind of area control, how a regular player can? David Kim should get - at last - fired for this shit. If Toss players whine for SH, Zerg players should had demolished Blizzard's buildings by now for that stupid balance.

So I just found out a great severe issue and hope to get a response from Battle.net soon because I have a 2560x1440pres screen and they have that option to play the game in. But my mouse wont even move at all and it wasn't due to mouse settings but the so called representative who replied to my ticket said to change my dpi settings? Has anyone ever seen the changes made to text and font size on a 2560x1440p res screen at 27inches on a monitor? yeah I have to fucking squint. He even asks me to log out or restart to apply the settings? I don't understand how an idiot as a representative is giving me this a resolution and doesn't realize perhaps users or even me needed or want to use font and text at 150 or 200 percent, personally i think 150 is good enough. So I thought why not now set the setting back to 150 text font size while game is launched, nope... game will run but mouse wont move and also therefore game is no t playable unless i revert or change to 100percent or you know lower my setting at 1080 just to run this game or stay at 2560x1440p and suffer smaller text and all menus and windows really small on my res screen just so i can play this game? I'm sorry but if you ask me this is false advertisement and the game doesn't run on full specs according to a proper advertised list of right and regulations. It;s the year 2015, this is pathetic to be called a fix. P.S I don't mean or am ranting about the game and I hope to still play it but i'm not going to suffer the consequences of always having to log out/restart to apply text font smaller setting just to play this game, if anyone out there has a solution, it would much be appreciated as I don't think Battle.Net has any good advice to offer.
