Great vid 🎥 We have not done the syrup here at the house yet. But we usually gather two or three families on one of two farms and make it an event. Usually consists of good eats, good friends, good memories made and of course the syrup is a👍 bonus 👨‍🔧

Good video. What would be really useful to everyone is to summarize the materials list.

The only thing I can add is more pans and build fire under pan farthest from chimney. Heat will travel and burn will go much faster. I use my fist pan as a warm up pan although with the fire under it it boils pretty well itself.

Cement blocks are higher density than cinder blocks... Have you considered using reverse osmosis for the first concentrating?

Great video! I have a Noob question. Is the sap sweet before you boil it? Thanks and God bless.

Does the maple syrup that is boiled over a fire have a different taste than the syrup boiled on the stove?

Do you finish off the syrup in the house? Get it to a certain point then move it to the house to continue boiling it down then can it? That’s what we did, we took it off the evaporator and finished it in the house so we could control the heat better, that way we didn’t end up with burnt syrup. I guess I would like to see the whole process you go through, from start to finish. Curious minds would like to know? We did this 35 to 40 years ago so it would bring back fond memories. Maybe you don’t want to go through the whole process filming it that is understandable. As I said curious minds. Thank you Todd. Those were the days❤️🌷💚🙃
